CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Officials at Carowinds say about 3,400 people have already applied for jobs at the amusement park, triple the usual number for this time of year.

Been complaining about park employees for years? The park will have a larger selection to choose from this year along with the added pressure of having unemployed people who would love to have your job if you can't handle it. Maybe things will be different, maybe they won't. Either way there's one less excuse now.

It would be great if they nitpicked around for better workers at this opportunity. Perhaps they'll dip into the older crowd more instead of just the usual teenage slobs group.
