I'm not wild about the colors. What was wrong with the green and black? I actually liked those colors; it blended in more. This thing practically slaps you in the face. What colors do you think the dive machine....oh crap. I've said too much.

So when did the color of the ride affect the way it rides? I mean is it really that huge of a deal of what they paint a coaster? I bet they could paint it pink and rename it Flamin Penis and you folks would still ride it.

You are right Dave. How many people were on here a 6mnths to a year ago complaining about Borg/Nighthawk not getting a new paint job because the paint was peeling. It became a black/green/red/white ride. Now they paint it and people complain about the colors!!! Do you people have nothing better to do??? It is a hell of a lot better than that coral/blue pansy looking Cobra!

Geez, since when did stating a personal opinion on a paint job in a forum about Carowinds in a post specifically about the colors of Nighthawk warrant such attacks?! First off, if they painted it pink and named it Flamin' Penis you are right, I still would ride it. That doesn't mean I can't say I dislike the colors. Just because my sister bought a hideous color car does not mean I won't ride in it. However, I'll be sure to give her my opinion about her choice. It's called giving feedback. You know, like when the park sends out surveys and asks you how much you like or dislike certain aspects of the park?

And david, your post is hypocritical at best. How can you sit there and criticize folks for not liking the colors of Nighthawk and say they have nothing better to do, and then in the same breath say that the colors for Cobra are pansy looking??

waaaaaay to much effort spent in bickering about something so mundane. I'm just happy that it was painted. I think we can all agree that it needed paint BAD and now that problem is solved, for at least a few years. I think we can all agree that it is nice to see CF/ management taking reasonably good care of the park.

this arguing is really going nowhere... it doesn't matter how loud you yell at each other, the situation isn't going to change to your liking.... hell... it isn't really even a situation... it is just paint, and it will be flaking off in a matter of years.

I couldnt agree more. Except that it shouldnt chip in the next few years. If you look closely at the photos, it looks like they got all of the old paint off and some sections were even primed, along with what was painted. It looks like they're sandblasting the paint off, then priming, then painting...apparently what they should have done to begin with.

At least Cedar Fair knows how to paint a ride. I wonder if they're painting the Nighthawk trains?

I think David got the point that I was attempting to convey. And I am well aware of what feedback is in the industry and how it can help shape a park. I look at such feedback on a daily basis.

I think it is great that the park is showing some love to some of the rides.

I loved the colors when it was BORG, but when they changed the name and theme, my first request was a new paint job. It looks nice. I prolly would have gone with something other than Yellow, but thats just me.
