Went to the park today, had alot of fun, but could not ride Afterburn. It was closed, when I got to Yo-Yo with the family I noticed the cardinal train vallyed just out of the boomerang. Anyone know when this happened, and if it will re-open next weekend?

I didn't notice that! I just assumed it was the wind that closed most rides Did you notice the blue train stuck on the lift hill of thunder road for most of the day?

I did, TR never opened today either. Kind of shocked me, I thought they would at least have one side open. Also, they had alot of trouble today with the train on the cobra. I had to sit in the station for about 5 min. because they couldn't get the restraints unlocked. This happend alot today, they would manualy unlock them, unload the train, and cycle the ride. Guess it was just a prototype glitch.

TR did open, I got a ride on it. It was just one train on the gray side. They even still had the blue train stuck on the lift hill. This was about 4:15 pm today.

Damn, I must have been on the other side of the park. My youngest was looking forward to riding it, she was finally to the 48" level. Well I'll catch it next weekend.

Afterburn vallies every year around late feb-mid march. I guess this year it decided to vally on opening day before the park opened.

It always seems to vally in the same spot. Except once i saw it vallied before the helix.

I'm suprised it never vallied last year. I guess it took a year off.

It could vally for a number of reasons such as cold weather, new wheels, wind or a little bit of all 3.
