Yes, the queue house is still standing. The flume area is walled off, but there is a place or two where you can get a peek. Not much to see, just some junk around the lift area in the trees. It's quite a long wall actually - serves as a reminder of just how much space it occupied. It will be very interesting to see how they take advantage of the real estate for those "future attractions".
I'll miss the old webcam too. Guess I'll un-bookmark it at work.
As far as the speed of Cobra, I don't know if they've re-clocked it with the train in place, the website says approximately 48 mph. That may be an average overall; it's obviously faster fresh off the lifts in both directions and levels out through the cobra roll. I know one thing, the backwards loop takes you by surprise in speed, force, and g's, but then again I rode in the back. Once. Lines were too long Sunday afternoon for re-rides, due to the buzz and the fact that half the other rides weren't running to spread out the peoples.
And it did get some buzz. From what I overheard, the public were all in a twitter.
