You guys wore them out, parts wear out. :lol:

How about the flyers for Diamond Back straight up??? 8)

I haven't rode the flyers yet, my son don't want to go on them with me, and I usually leave my wife to go ride a coaster or 2. I may go on Memorial Day since school is in, it'll give me some alone time to figure those things out.

I know they rebuilt the entire motor when they moved.

I think we'll hold onto Diamondback for the time being... besides, you're getting one like it next year. ;)

You can have Son of Beast, though.

:lol: :lol: :lol: After riding it this year again, I think it would be an ok coaster now with a new type of train, like those that GCI is going to build. The G trains are too light and shake all over the place, or at least they did in the back. I actually *shock* would have liked my 1 ride, but the back rest vibrated like crazy on my ride.

Back to the flyers: The tubs are back on their cables, but maintenance has the whole engine housing open and is working on it.

So at least they are making progress.

Im glad there has been progress on the Flyers.

Son of Beast is much better than it was with the Premier Trains, but the "Rosebowl" is just too violent even with the new-used Gerstlauer trains.

Guess you don't know how to snap them?? :?: They seem to be a cool ride. I may have to give them a shot later tonight.

Flyers can easily be the best ride at Carowinds if you know what you are doing. I used to be able to snap but halfway through summer 2006, I got distracted by another Nick Central attraction. Starting in 2005, two of my favorite rides were in familyland(more commonly refered to as kiddyland): Flying Dutchman's Revenge and Phantom Flyers;

I got 4 rides today. 8) :D

The first two I had the ride to myself.

He asked me from the booth if I wanted to keep riding, and I said yes of course and he just started it back up again. So I got some really wicked snaps on that one, since the tub never stopped rocking back and forth.

The cycle seems the same length, I wish they'd have added some to it. :)
