Hey Guys, Last year I got some great advice from fellow users about our summer family trip to KI and CP. It really helped and again this year, I'd like to enlist your advice on where we are headed the middle of June. We are going to visit Kings Dominion, which we last visited in 2006; Great Adventure, which will be our first time and on a Tuesday; Dorney Park, which we will do on their special $19.95 evening rate, which will be our first visit since 2006; and finally Knoebels, which will be our first visit. A total of 28 credits, for those not ridden previously. We just did Universal & Islands in January and Dollywood(disappointing!) back in April. All total 20 parks in the past 4 years. Any thoughts on GA would be great ~ I have read some prior posts from some visits to GA, but wouldn't mind the input. Most appreciated on anything you can offer!

Best advice for SFOG is that if you can afford the gold Flash Pass, then go for it.

Weekend lines at that park can be a beast.

Georgia Cyclone is the first coaster people come to, so if you happen to see a short line for it do it then. It tends to be long all day long for the previous reason.

I love SFOG, but it can be ghetto, and the $15 parking fee is a rip off.

Oh yeah, and Goliath is awesome.

Never been to Vekoma Land South so I can't speak to that park.

Don't miss Lake Winnie, which is only 1.5 hours from ATL.

Hey bgwfreak, Not going to SFOG - been many times and yes, we love Goliath, but would still opt for Apollo's Chariot at BGE. Need advice on SFGA, Six Flags Great Adventure, going on a weekday... I'm sure you've been... what do you think? Thanks!

Well, one of his pieces of advice for SFoG is very appropriate for Great Adventure as well.

Best advice for SFOG is that if you can afford the gold Flash Pass, then go for it.

Great Adventure is a really cool park. It has one of the best ride lineups in the world. However, you're going to have to get extremely lucky to hit it on an uncrowded day. Maybe during the week you will get lucky, but the park is notorious for poor operations and big crowds. If the place looks like it is filling up during the first couple of hours I would consider some sort of Flash Pass.

Head back to the Kingda Ka and El Toro area when the gates open. You may be able to get a number of rides in before the crowds. Kingda Ka I would have to imagine is going to have the worst lines later in the day. El Toro is easily the best ride in the park (second favorite of mine anywhere behind Voyage).

You may also want to consider heading to Dark Knight when the park opens since it is the lowest capacity ride and the newest one. Personally I would go to El Toro and Kingda Ka since they are way more important to me than a wild mouse in a box, but if you want to avoid a big line later it may be a good idea to do it first.
