I really try not to bitch and stuff a lot, but the past two weeks have been disappointing to say the least.

Last Saturday a friend wanted to go to the park, and I went along to hang out and stuff.

Thunder Road had a huge line and they were running 1 train and only 1 side. Nighthawk had a huge line and only 1 train running.

Today Thunder Road had all their lines full, and they were running 1 train, 1 side.

Hurler was completely full inside and was starting to back up to the stairs. And they were running 1 train.

What is the deal these days? They started out really good the first few weeks. Today I felt like I was at SFOG back when they were too lazy to put on second trains.

The one saving grace today was the Afterburn crew who were getting trains out as fast as possible.

I can speak to Saturday. Cedar Fair has a one-train rule for coasters during thunderstorms. Because the systems that were hitting us that day were so inconsistent, trains were removed from the tracks and kept off for the day. Even though the storms passed mid-day, there were other systems moving in so trains were not put back on the tracks even though it didn't rain after 2.

Not sure why it was single-train operation on Friday--unless the park anticipated low attendance. But even in that case, if lines were long, second trains could have been requested.

Please explain (seriously) how a second train during a thunderstorm causes a safety issue.

Brakes aren't going to fail because the train is wet, are they?

A second train during a rainstorm causes a safety issue because of magnums little slip up last year (2 years ago?)

Since then we have not been allowed to run two trains in the rain.
