I've been thinking about this topic for a while now. Is it really too much to ask of a person to use correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and even capitalization to make their posts readable and presentable for everybody? I don't claim to be a perfect writer. But, I try to make my thoughts presentable so everybody will understand them. I come on here and see posts that are virtually unreadable because of the lack of proper grammar. The lack of capitalization makes sentences look run on. I won't even get into the improper spelling. If you get in a hurry and it causes you to make errors, slow down for a minute and take your time. It's really not that much trouble to type out "are" instead of "r" or "you" for "u." It makes me feel like I'm reading song titles on a Prince cd.
Somebody said "that because no one nows anyone else's level of education for one and different people are taught different things." I disagree with this because I don't think they've changed the basics of grammar. Even in Jr. high and elementary school, you're taught the basics of grammar. I don't see them changing anytime soon.
One thing that's been nagging at me is that it seems people post stuff just to be posting. "I agree" is a prime example. Okay, you agree. Tell us why. Put some meat into your post. I'll see a bunch of responses by people in about every topic and there's nothing there but some sentence or two or three words that make no sense whatsoever. I'm not asking for a paragraph or thesis. If you post something, make it worth reading. There are some really good posters on here. There could be some really great ones on here if some people put their mind to it.
