I think they are referring to how childish she is being. I'm willing to bet that Cedar Fair is not the only company with such a policy. She could have cut her hair to get the job, or not taken the job. In no way is it discrimination, and it was very childish to scream that and go to the news.
Another thought as to why they arent allowed, not trying to insinuate anything or make any assumptions, but lets also think what dreads are most commonly associated with.
