Here's the deal, guys. The story's on WCNC's baseline was that Carowinds racially discriminates because "dreadlocks are a predominately african american hairstyle." And we all know what the truth is. More than a majority of employees there are african american, so the issue is clearly closed.
On the view of dreadlocks--I hate to say that I think this is a case where a few bad apples spoil the bunch. I've seen some very nice, neat, and...here I go...SEXY dreadlocks on many people; HOWEVER, I have also seen some absolutely disgusting displays of unkept rats' nests otherwise given the name "dreds" and THAT is the very reason I say CF has the right to stick to their guns.
Yea...so they could say "Neatly cropped dredlocks...blah blah" but then that determines what is neat and what is not, and what is the style really trying to portray, etc. And the complaints would continue to build, so it's just easier to say...NA, lets just say no extreme or faddish hairstyles and throw dreds in there in addition to mohawks and partially shaven heads and goatees.
Sweet.
Seriously...just ask me and i can tell ya.
