Anyone know anything about Spongebob being replaced? The action theatre used to be a great ride and something you could look forward to doing to cool off etc, but after 5 years of Spongebob its laughable. Will something new be coming in 2010? I sure hope so.

I do know that Carowinds is losing Nickelodeon next year and going with Peanuts. That may change the movie in Action Theater. Who knows?

Oh wow. Wonder if they'll lose the license to Scooby Doo as well. I assume that's not related to Nickelodeon though.

If we are loosing Nickelodeon, then we are loosing lots of money. My understanding was CF was looking into switching all parks over to the Nick theme?

A ferris Wheel would fit nice in that spot. But i doubt they will get rid of it anytime soon. besides, it has air condition. 8)

But right about now, im tired of spongbob. Any new 3d movie will do.

yeah they have had that show for about 5 years now. I mean its great and fun to ride occationaly, if the lines long and its really hot. but they haven't had a movie showing on the otherside of the theater in three years, go ahead and leave spongebob, just add another movie.

I just saw SS3D for the first time on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I can see how it would be old so many years later. They should just bring DOT back.

With Paramount selling the park to Cedar Fair, we will never see Days of Thunder again.

Actually it is possible, Paramount does not own the Days Of Thunder attraction film, SimEx! Iwerks does. Days Of Thunder, SpongeBob 3D, 7th Portal, the film made for Dollywood(However Dolly does not appear in version that is played outside of Dollywood) are all owned by Iwerks. However, DOT has not been listed on website for a couple years.

Apparently, Iwerks has a contract that says any material that make is theirs not the park chain they make it for.

Are you sure because Days of Thunders was definitely distributed by Paramount Pictures?
