Paramount sure made some Idiotic cheap decisions. That ride should have never been taken out of Carowinds.
That Yo Yo is a 1980-81, I remember when it debuted at Geauga Lake. They bought that and a Rotor, both from Chance and put them in the park.
It used to be mostly Black with Yellow Accents covered in Yellow and White Tubular Florescent Lights with flashing lights on the crown and at the ends of the arms. I assume those were the "Catalog Colors". Geauga Lake's Parent company, Funtime Inc. used to put in a lot of Generic rides, sporting factory colors in the 70's and 80's.
Premier/Six Flags repainted and moved it for 2001 and Cedar Fair repainted it, stripping it of its lights and gave it a complete overhaul in 2005. Those Yo-Yo's are notorious for having problems with the tilting motor.
