I'd like after the supposed Hyper next year to eventually see a coaster with a launch, maybe a GCI woodie, a ProSlide Tornado in BB, something like Deluge at SFKK, and a couple of modern flats. I could keep going but I'll stop there.

I would like to see a new show (stage area) to take the place of mini golf.

Maybe an S&S Screaming Swing or a HUSS Topspin in between Cyclone & the Drop Tower area. Either one would be fine for me.

A Chancemorgan wipeout would be nice also.
I would like for the park to replace the yoyo with real swings like the (zierer wave swinger)

Did S&S ever resolve the seal issue with the Swing at the Mothership? A couple of years ago, that thing was down more than it was up for seals, and even lost at least one of the cylinders.

I would like to see a Cyclone clone in Hurler's spot. Maybe one more like the Texas Cyclone.

I think they should not remove the Hurler. It is a great ride!

Although I don't know if there's anyway to really fix it, could they replace some parts of the track like they did with Thunder Road? i'm not sure if that would help, but I'd rather them try to fix it instead of removing it.

We need TVs or something while standing in line. Although I'm not sure if we really need them because the lines are always so short. Maybe they should put some in Nighthawk- that ride has one of the longest lines. So does Cobra because it only has one train.

I would love to see the Entertainment department at Carowinds expanded. They have the unused Plaza stage, they could always add a parade, and they don't use the Paladium but about 3 times per year. They could try using that more often by getting more artists to come there. Maybe use it for some more mainstream concerts instead of just Christian Music Festivals. And on days when there aren't concerts, they could always use it for a show. I just see so much potential for Carowinds entertainment that just isn't there anymore. It bothers me so much to see the Plaza stage go unused.

Not that this means anything to the public audiences (since there are none), the Paladium is used all the time in April and May for Middle School Music Festivals ... stuff like band and chorus.

I didn't think about that...but yea, at least that's getting used. What really kills me (as a huge theater lover), is to see a stage go unused (like the Plaza Stage, although its not very good cause it has no backstage area), but it can easily be used for some type of music/singing/dancing show.

Yeah, they could do singing and dancing, but plays and things involving acting would be difficult because of the lack of a backstage.

I know. I have never ridden a tornado. A little off topic from the thread, but what exactly do they do? I've seen pictures, but I can't quite process how they work.
I think that they should take out the old wave pool and the minigolf green and place slides there.

Thrillzone really needs the most work if you ask me. I know hurler is over there, but I did not even waste my time to go in the back to ride hurler. That part of the park is so depressing and later in the evening, its like a ghost town.

Since Hurler and Drop Zone are my favorite rides in the park, I love going to that section in the evenings. I can re-ride Drop Zone as much as I want! They could take out the Bungee-tower thing (dont know what it's called. Sorry!) and put a flat there. Something like SkyHawk.

They should give afterburn some love and re-paint it.

Then give the hurler a face lift like with Thunder Road.

Finally they should re-paint the cyclone and give it new trains.

Oh, and why do they need any water rides to carowinds when there is a water park next door?

I would like to see Vortex reborn with floorless sitdown trains. I was watching my old Vortex media day video I took in 1992 and noticed the excitement of the media, engineers, contractors, and of course the ACE folks, at this new B&M marvel. The Vortex was especially beautiful with the reflection off the water from the Sternwheeler lagoon. The media had set up their cameras on a deck perched at the top of the former Smurf Island which made for some incredible video and photos.

Now, Vortex's popularity is waning somewhat from what I gather. Most people I talk to do not like stand-up coasters that much anymore for a variety of reasons I have heard.

So, what about a rebirth of the Vortex? Floorless trains and a redesign of the station to accommodate them.

And top it off with a dome over the upward helix? Make it pitch black with strobe lights, along with the roar of a B&M train to make it sound as if you were flying into the center of a tornado. Any takers? I could stand it!
