Thunder road.....but back when the ride had the 55 Chevy and 57 Ford front ends! I rode Thunder road in the rain at night and the small group of use rode multiple times as the lines were empty and the crew was bored! Best coaster ride ever....to this day!

^ Agreed, but I thought this was about Carowinds since it's in the "All Things Carowinds" sectiion.

I forgot about Goldrusher and its brilliant tunnel at night (when they leave the lights off).

Afterburn is pretty wild at night. When I went to Scarowinds, Thunder Road was closed so I didn't get the chance to experience that at night. And Nighthawk's line was ridiculous, so I didn't get to do that either.

I agree that Goldrusher is pretty entertaining at night also.

My craziest night ride was Hurler during scarowinds. There was a ton of fog coming up from the Fear Factory, on to the track. It was so fast and going through the fog on the ride was awesome!

Afterburn and Nighthawk are pretty awesome at night too.

My vote is probably for Hurler as well. I still remember vividly the way that thing was running during Scarowinds in 2002. It was really wild.

Afterburn, easily. I love the woodies at night, but Afterburn often kicks into another gear at nighttime.

That "overdrive" gear is what takes the coaster from a strong, top 10 steel to my 2nd-favorite steel coaster anywhere. I'd get the Spring rides on TG, think it was good, ride it in the summer and think it was better. I'd go ride coasters at other parks and think "ok, this is better than TG". Then Scarowinds would come, I'd get on TG for some night rides in the crisp October air that it seems to really like, and . It'd kick into that gear, blow me away, and re-assume it's rightful position on the list. I still like Kumba (yeah, Kumba) a slight bit more.

ERT at Coasterstock was close, but still a bit slower than some rides I've gotten at Scarowinds.
