I highly doubt mega coasters in vekomas sense is meant to be as in hyper coasters. Apparently they are doing the 4 across seating on battlestar galatica or whatever that coaster is to be named at universal studios somewhere overseas.

What if Carowinds is getting that? I know Vekoma is known for its head banging but after hearing about how good the new trains are on Cobra, maybe they have reinvented themselves. :|

I think the ones now work well, but new ones would work better. Vekoma has been improving lately, especially with their trains, but I sure as heck don't think they're ready to build hypers...

I was under the impression that the Big Air was what their hypercoasters would be called, like how Intamin calls theirs Mega coasters and B&M uses the terms Mega or Speed.

I guess it could be since the towers are over 200ft? I guess it depends on the actual definition of a true "hyper" coaster. I would think it would be more of a full circuit coaster but I dont know, and also I am not sure how big the drop is, the towers are 200ft, but that doesnt mean the drop is 200ft. I guess its all about how you look at it...

Any coaster with a height of at least 200 feet, regardless of the drop, is considered a hyper, but these days, smaller coasters are hypers too. And then there are mini-hypers and mega-lites.
