Anthony here…
This may be my only post, but I felt it my duty to show my appreciation.

Thanks everyone for all your great compliments and requesting that I operate your first Coaster Stock 2009—Danny’s Phantom Flyer flights. This totally caught me by surprise and I have nothing but love for you. I don’t know how the rest of the day went for you guys (please, do post and tell) but I sure had a blast serving you.

I’m really excited and trying to be patient for the new ride to get up and running. Progress is being made on it everyday. It’s a tight-lipped, hush-hushed situation at Carowinds where only top V.I.Ps know all the details, and they ain’t talkin’, no matter how much we press. All we were told is “when we see it, our jaws are gonna drop.” You can expect some great service on that attraction because only ride associates with great guest complements will be allowed to work it. With much thanks to you guys, and the other guest who visit Guest Services to compliment my job performance, I’ve already been informed by an area supervisor that I will be allowed to apply, should I so choose. I don’t know though… I kinda like the personal touch I’m allowed to give on Flyers. That’s not possible on many of our park attractions.

Anthony’s asking Dani: Will the new ride allow for my personal touch?
Dani only looks at Anthony and smiles…

CoasterBruh,
Did I meet you, or did I not meet you???

Jonathan,
Your picture doesn’t look like you.

Wormy,
My picture doesn’t look like me either…LOL. Just kidding. I do pick at pics of myself sometimes. That’s what people do. Thanks for posting the shot.

Thanks again everyone for all the honor you guys showed me, and continue to show every time you visit the park.

Rockin’ them there Flyers…
Anthony

THANK YOU for being up early that morning lol...it seems carowinds is a close knit park that allows the employees to be themselves. It was nice meeting you and your side kick!

Anthony you probably don't remember my name, it's Patrick (usually my username is patrick2pointoh, will return to that soon). I have talked with you personally a few times, you gave me 3 free rides in a row the day before coasterstock : ) . You make my day everytime I go to the flyers. Your singing, joking, and contests have brought even more life to the flyers. We had a very good, my favorite of all time, session on them and I thank you for making them one of the, if not the best ert session that we had all day.

I think it would be very cool to see you operating a coaster...ummm I mean supervise the shuffleboard, parking garage, kiddie pool expansion! You would be missed at flyers, however I love to see what you would do at the new attraction for 2010. So I am all for you working it!

I will probably see you sometime in the park when I go back next week!

Hold on tight, cause your ship's about to take flight!

Patrick

Agreed. I think Anthony should be an attendant for the new coas...parking garage next year.

Good to see you here Anthony! I was right behind coasterbruh on the flyers. It was pretty fun and your singing made me laugh. I think I was in car number 4 the first time. It was pretty fun. You assistant did a pretty darn good job as well. Coaster stock was awesome. I very much enjoyed that and all the ERTs.

It’s not a new coaster or a kiddie pool. It’s a giant day care center for Scarowinds.

Mummy, Mummy, what’s a werewolf?

Shut up and comb your face!

Thank you Anthony for such a great ERT. This is probably one of the best ERTs I've ever been to and have complimented on. You are a great asset to the park, and I enjoyed your sense of humor during the ERT. Thank you so much for taking the time to fulfill our request to have you at our ERT and I will see you around on my next visit to Carowinds in the near future.

ERT was definately great. Very entertaining with Anthony singing. I love the way the ride ops have a lot of energy this year and now say their names, and I like the RIDE ON as well... Could you imagine an on board sound system on the new coaster and Anthony singing on it.... HAHAHA

I must admit, hearing the opening theme to The Lion King being blasted over the speakers as my mom and I walked back that way was a great way to start my sleep deprived day. Well, that and being one of 5 people on my run on Nighthawk. Nice and quiet there. But watching you nutcases on Flyers was hilarious!!

Anthony, coming from a former ride op (not at Carowinds, though; 4 seasons at our little park on Panama City Beach, 5 years at Universal Orlando), I can say it is obvious you love your job. And enjoy it as much as possible, ride ops is the best job I ever had, and would go back in a heartbeat. Wherever you end up next year, we will find you. :)
