SFoG gave GASM and GC new coats of paint this off-season! The Scream Machine runs better than Thunder Road as well...
I prefer scratched CD. Records are so "Wall decoration at Hard Rock Cafe"-ish.
It gets me when people complain about something that they have no clue about. As far as your saying the paint being gone since 1989 i find that hard to believe being that i remember riding it when it was white and it wasnt no 1989 cause i was only 8!! Then people go and compare parks, like the parks really care about if another park paints their coaster. Since SFoG got a mini-minetrain carowinds is gonna get one too?? So i guess the folks at carowinds are frantic because people are gonna come there and leave to go to SFoG because their coasters got new white paint.........im sure that wont happen. Do you really think the GP really cares what color the coaster is?? As long as it isnt falling apart is their main concern, and mines too.
Coasterbruh, whos about tired of hearing the whines about painting Thunder Road!!
Wow, calm down. I'm just saying that certain parks have different levels of upkeep, not that people should go to SFOG over something stupid like that.
Some parks put an effort into landscaping, others go for rides, and such.
I thought Thunder Road looked nicer painted white, just as <a href='http://www.coastertown.com/Paramount/PKD/CandyAppleGrove/Candy03.jpg' target='_blank'>Rebel Yell</a> and <a href='http://www.coastertown.com/Paramount/PKI/ConeyMall/Racer04.jpg' target='_blank'>Racer</a> look good in my opinion.
But then again, alott of people were whining about Vortex getting painted, and it seemed to be in safe, working order. Maybe they should have let it sit a few more years as well, or better yet just sandblasted all the paint off and gave it a "natural, factory fresh" appearance.
