Hey guys,

Kewlaid here again

So, I haven't been to the park at all this year - Cobra wasn't enough for me and just financial situations and all that jazz. The new coaster we are getting is very well tempting me to come back next year though, so look for me.

But I have a question - and I tried to find previous posts but couldn't find anything - so I apologize if this is being touched on elsewhere.

A friend of mine said that he was able to get to the park a few weeks back. From what he was telling me, he believes that he was seeing some sort of construction also going on by the Rip Roar and Rapids - It was a few weeks back and he could be mistaken, but does anyone know about this at all? He said it might be of the coaster sort - but it was between what was a store, the rapids and the palladium. I looked up the park on google to do a space check on the map and I'm unsure if there is even space to put anything anywhere in that area. But if anyone knows, let me know.

I was there yesterday and yes there is a large crane over by the rapids, but the rapids was closed.

So I'm assuming they are removing boats for whatever reason. I didn't see that actually happen, so take that with a grain of salt.

But I don't think it's any construction, probably just having an issue with our old rapids and working on it.

I doubt it's coaster work, but I wonder what will come out of this. I wouldn't mind them just getting rid of the rapids altogether and adding #14. (Of course, with #13 coming in 2010). CF aren't fans of water rides are they?

But Carowinds needs a couple water rides (we are in the south, you know), and I don't see them removing another one, which would only leave White Water Falls.

^ You need a bathing suit for the water park.... Who wants to wear one or change every time you go? Besides, most of the slides aren't great.

They just installed some new water features for the public to pay for(0.25) this year, I wouldn't think the rapids are going anywhere. Maybe their putting the cave back!

Its an expensive ride to operate, the line is a trap, and without the cave its really not that fun. I wouldn't be surprised to see it removed eventually.

Maybe they could get rid of it and the golf course and add a ride like Pilgrim's Plunge at Holiday World? Just another thing to add to the skyline...
