I know Borg is coming, but is there any chance of Carowinds ever getting Flight of Fear. I love seeing the coaster come into the station empty. Plus it's a launch coaster and indoors. This would be a nice unique addition to Carowinds. I understand that Flight of Fear is getting outdated, but maybe a new version could be built.

I think in the next couple of years we might get a launch coaster of some type. Flight of Fear would be cool but I would rather have a newer updated version.

You might get a coaster called Flight of Fear but it doesn't have to be a Mad Cobra like at the other parks. Don't want to say that the Mad Cobra's time has come but I could see the park looking at another type of coaster instead. Joker's Jinx and Poltergeist I think are the last ones built here in the States. They could have easily called BorgAss, Flight of Fear.

I don't think the mad cobra is outdated technically but it might be in terms that it first came out in 1995. The Vekoma SLC design that we all know and "love" came out in 1994 and parks are still building them. After all, Speed: The Ride in Las Vegas just opened 2 years ago and the mad cobra is very similar. I do not think Flight of Fear is outdated. When I rode the Poltergeist 1 year ago it was running very smoothly and seemed technologically advanced enough to be operating in the 21st century. This ride is not outdated (although the theme might be) and I would love one to come to Carowinds (with a different theme but still enclosed).

I want the ride to be inclosed because it adds just that much more to the overall ride experience and It's alot of fun because you don't know what's coming next.

Which paramount movie theme would fit an enclosed Mad Cobra?

That is the Question.

I love the coaster, but don't care for the building it sits in. To me if your going to do an enclosed ride then the building needs to look like more than an enclosed warehouse. I understand that this is part of the theming, and wouldn't turn my nose up at PC if they were to get one. I just think that Space Mountains building looks a lot better than Flight of Fears. Of course there's a lot more money put into SpaceMountain.

I sort of like the look of the coaster itself with all that tangled track. To me that coaster with a different theme would be cool. I could care less if it were enclosed.

If we get this ride, I want it with lap bars and no OTS restraints. Like on the Poltergeist.
