Ok, I know that Thunder Road is in "Rehab" which will last till I think someone said 2012. But does anyone think by then they may turn the *Blue* train backwards again? I mean surly right now that side isn't rough at all. Now for the other side, that's a different story.

I'm sorry, blue (I was thinking when it was backwards) I wish some day they change the policy, that's what made the coaster fun in some ways

Thunder Road is great IMO either way. I like how they are finally racing again!!!

Cedar Fair realized that the ride wasn't built to ever be backwards and was running unsafely all this time. Therefore, no, it'll be forwards forever.

I understand what you are saying that the Coaster wasn't built that way, but if it wasn't truly safe, wouldn't the ride inspector(s) say the train needed to be turn around? Please don't think that i'm trying to fight with anyone.

Cedar Fair was told by the makers of the ride that it was not made to ride like that if it was not for the makers it would still be backwards.

When thunder road was backward there was a higher risk of injury. It wasnt that the ride was unsafe, there was just a larger probability if an accident occuring. Cedar Fair most likely didnt want to deal with claims of injury from a ride not designed to go backwards so they revered the train again to eliminate the chance.
A good example is Son of Beast, it has not run for a few months from what i heard while at KI last month because a woman claimed it injured her neck. Or so I heard

Can you prove any details of what you're saying?

Yes, I can

What was the reasoning behind flipping Rebel Yell backwards back to forwards? - Fergusonat

It was recommended by the manufacturer, Philadelphia Toboggan Co., Philadelphia, PA, that we run both trains forward as it was designed

It has to do with PTC. Yes the ride had ran backwards for a number of years but from what I hear it was said that if they continue to run backwards than PTC would not work on the trains. You do know that from time to time these trains are sent back to PTC to be rebuilt from the ground up?

And if they wanted ones that rode backwards that they would be happy to make some that will.

Again you can take my word for it or not. Maybe you need to talk with someone who does infact work in the Trade and I am sure they will tell you the same.

Well could PTC design and built a train that could run backwards for Rebel Yell and Thunder Road coaster track?
