If it is true that they took out the building near vortex then it sounds to me that it may be possable that they are going to build something there in the near future. Delirium might fit in there but it would be a tight squeeze. Or perhaps they plain on takeing river rapids out in the next couple years or so. River Rapids is old and after the cave in and everything they might have found that it is getting to old. Personaly i hate that ride it sokes me to the bone every time i get on it and i mean every single time. It never fales. I would like to see it taken out and reconstructed. Maybe have it where everyone gets soked like the river rapids at six flags over ga.

Then you must hate the Flying Super Saturator.

Up until they extended the waterfall out right there before the end, you would hardly get wet at all.

I don't see why everybody thinks the cave added alott to the ride. Most River Rapids don't evan have caves, and ours was pointless since the waterfall stopped working inside it.

I would like to see the gaint wheel and the tornado. We do need more rides at carowinds. I hope a big coaster by 2005. I would like a flat rides, coasters.

I think the park will re-theme WaterWorks into Boomerang Bay.

Probably boomerang bay but we might get a Chance Revolution like the Deleriums at PGA, PKI and PKD(?).

Or maybe a Huss Top Spin.

They look like loads of fun and carowinds desperately needs flats. We have the Kaleidoscope, Scream Weaver and Frenzoid (or that's what comes to mind at the moment) and we desperately need more! Flats are soooo much fun. Flats are also the perfect Hurling Machines (More than the Hurler!, but maybe not as good as Ninja at SFOG. That is the only coaster that has made me barf after riding. Except I stayed on and rode it 4 times straight because there was no line (No line for good reason)).

Boomerang Bay will probably come but we have a pretty successful water park as it is.

From the surveys they asked us about 2 major things. They were a Lego Land area and either an Addam's Family or The Italian Job attraction.

Personally I would like to see an all out Lego Area and The Addam's Family attraction.

In all my looking of overhead maps I am trying to figure out possibilities for the now closed campground. It just looks too removed to be a part of the park as you have to cross the road at some point. Of course the could always go to the extreme and move the employee area and offices back there to free up land already attached to the park. That would be a great expense in my eyes.

I really wouldn't miss the River Rapids...you hardly get wet and it's not exciting.
I say....GET RID OF IT!

However, I LOVE the White Waterfalls ride............You get soaked!!!

P.S.- I can't remember, is White Water falls what it's called?

Wow!! we have thrillseeker in one corner saying that he doesnt like the river rapids because it gets him too wet, and in the other corner we have hombaca_05 saying that he doesnt like it beacuse he doesnt get wet enough.................so which is it??

It is me ok i am telling you that ride hates me and i feel the same about it. Everyone who gets on it does get wet a little or none at all but with me ohhh no no no the river rapids sokes me to the bone. This is no joke.... meet me at the park this summer i will show you in person.
