Went to the park today, man was it empty. 10 min wait for rip roarin rapids, 15 mins for night hawk, everything else was a walk on. Dunno if its reported yet but all the nick stuff is 75% off now. Question, if you renew your wow pass, you get a Gold pass for next year, can that be used for scarowinds this year? I know they have done that in the past.

Not this year. They have done away with that benefit.

Yeah, I went saturday too. No lines anywhere except on water slides. Even 5 minute wait for front seat on vortex. Remember the days you would have to wait an hour to get on anything. On a positive note, there is Intimidator merchandise. 2 styles of t-shirts for $16.99 and a carry bag for $7.99 in 4 different colors. Did see a woman carried off on a stretcher next to Nighthawk then it was down for an hour. Does that ride ever stay open? I ride it first thing because if you wait till later in the day. you're taking your chances. Hopefully Intimidator brings in more traffic so Cedar Fair continues to build us new coasters. I thought Carowinds was still available on gold pass..

Carowinds is available on a 2010 gold pass... for the 2010 season. You can't get into Carowinds or Scarowinds in 2009 with a 2010 pass this year like you could in year's past.
