Even after all these years Drop Zone is still a great ride. I'm hoping that they don't remove it anytime soon.

I wish it could be taller. It's just not that exciting any more. If they gave us a giant frisbee, I can see taking it out. But if they just remove it, and don't put anything new in, then just keep it.

The thrill zone needs something thrilling! Need a new frisbee or top spin!!

Drop Zone is an excellent ride and one of the most thrilling you can ride anywhere. It's removal would be a true loss for Carowinds.

Drop Zone... <_< Well, it's not my kind of ride, but... it doesn't take up much space and does add a different type of thrill to the park, so why not keep it.

Well, nobody is forcing you to ride it. Some of of still like it.

If it does not "do it" for you anymore, I'm sure you can find at least 15 other overly extreme rides in the park.

Just to let you know I contacted the park and told them that you wanted them to do something about the drop zone to make you like it again. They told me that they apologize for the inconvience and are on it right away and should be contacting you via phone to make sure they accomodate you in every way possible, since you pump soo much money in the park like every other complainer right??

Honestly, why do some people act as if the park is there for them only?? Do they realize that they are only 1 out of the 1.8 million something people visiting the park, apparently not!!

I would like it to be bigger, but if they don't build it bigger then keep it it is a very fun ride to ride every now and then.

I could see a Drop Zone rebuild (possible the world's tallest now that Paramount seems to be paying attention to us) and the addition of another giant HUSS flat back in the thrill zone for its upgrades that are scheduled to happen in the next couple years... How awesome would that be, Carowinds.... with the tallest drop ride in the world..... HAHAHA i wish It actually wouldn't be that hard to build the new one a bit taller than the current tallest and just claim the record.

Well, to claim the record, they would need to make DZ over Twice as tall and I don't think the existing superstructure can support that.

Did we have the first DZ?

I think it was the first in the Paramount chain, or maybe PGA's was first.

Sorry if I did'nt make myself clear on that. I didn't mean extend the same tower, as that would never work. I meant that they should just build a new HUGE one in its spot. It's a good location and would bring more people to that end of the park. Also, it's probably not as expensive as some other rides they could add.
