It would seem that something is going here near the parking lot. Popular rumor is a splash battle. From what I was told though they have several options on the table and will make a decision once they get this year's results in and figure up the budget for next year.

They certainly need more areas to cool down.... whether it's new water rides, more indoor restaurant seating, more shady areas, or just misters.

The park has potential, but that hot sun can drain you quick.

Another rumor is that the 70's themed bumper cars that were supposed to be built with Hard Rock Park will actually be added.

I visited Freestyle MP for the first time on the last operating day of the season, Sept 13, and had a great, relaxing short visit of 3 hours. The crowds were very light at opening time (11am) but when I left at 2pm, it was getting pretty busy, the front gate had a nice line of people (photo below) and they were still coming into the parking lot in droves.

The park really does have tremendous potential, but to survive with the big boys, they are going to have to add another major attraction....and soon. That's the nature of survival in the theme park business. There's several SBNO coasters out there that are salvageable. Even a spinning mouse would be a welcome addition. Is the Reverchon spinner formerly at NMB Speed Park still available? Anyway, I'll be interested in hearing how the season turned out. I want this park to succeed!

Question: In the photo below, it appears there was a flat ride here from the Hard Rock Park days. Anyone know what was here?

There was nothing there. In fact, I have no idea what that is. Never noticed it before. Maybe they launch some fireworks off from there or something? I've got no clue.

I was their on the last weekend the park was open and got to talking to one of the managers , they told me that the park was going to add bumper cars , a looping coaster of some kind and a water park for next year. But as of now I am not if that will happen , the park just got hit with another lawsuit from their local venders and next is going to be Qantum Radio. The park is supposed to make an announcement sometime this week or next so until then who knows what might happen.

Ahhhhh! Thanks for the photo!! I really thought it was a flat ride or something. It's a prime spot for one in the future.

Maybe this is where the mystery of "CHANG" will end up.

Ha! Just kidding everyone...

Looks like new investors will be signed with FMP for 2010. No mention of anything new, just improvements to the current layout. Hopefully 2010 will be good for them. With our Terminator opening, maybe this will help spur some side trips for enthusiasts travelers.

Sounds like one of those good news/bad news reports. At least the park looks like it will be vaible for another season. However, I would love to see them add something interesting to the park such as an adult sized flat.
