Remember that movie theatre attraction? Its changed a lot to different movies...but I was wondering what anyone's thoughts were about if it's a waste of space or what. It doesn't seem that great as it did when it first came out.

(edit)
This movie would make a great theme for a dual coaster I think...Would be kinda cool although most kids probably wouldn't remember the movie.

I think motion theaters were a trend. They've kind of died out lately, but alott of parks are upgrading theirs to 4D, meaning that they are now more immersive and realistic. I find them much more exciting when you have in-theater effects such as wind and smoke.

Lets get a show like the Muppets at Disney MGM.

Yes, I aggree that the theater is out of date. What year did it come to carowinds in anyway?

I think they should save it for the future. This would be a great lead up attraction (theming/ride show) for a coaster which goes behind it into the old parking lot. Never heard that discussed before, but it just hit me that this could really add a lot to a newly themed coaster.

It would have been cool to have them use the empty side of the theatre for a Borg show explaining the story before exiting out the back onto the coaster (which could be built over the parking lot.... after removing the concrete of course) That would have made good use of the almost always empty right side of the theatre and add some theming to Borg.

There would be a problem with the 4-D theater being a pre-ride show, alot of people would like to see the show and then be too chicken to ride the ride. The two would need to be seperate attractions.

There's to sides to the theater. One side could be used as the pre-ride show, and the other side used for a similar show depending on what the theme is with an exit back to the midway instead of the attraction.

You won't want to watch that movie everytime you get in line for a coaster I don't think.

Why not? If it's done well it would/could be a great addition to a ride. Especially during those hot summer days. It does have AC you know? There are plenty of rides like this that have pre-ride movies. Some get old, but if done right depending on the theme the movie could be changed up from year to year.
