I finally got to see the completed Borg Assimilator on NBC6 News this Morning! They had flew over Carowinds sometime and filmed it! The clip lasted for maybe 30 seconds! It looked awesome!

I really dont care about a theme that much. Think about it who is looking at it going 50 mph through inversions.

Theming isn't put in necessarily for visuals as you ride; it's for bringing excitement to the people waiting to ride, as well as making people want to ride. It adds to the overall value of the park as a brand.

What's the landscaping like? Lots of water under the ride?

yah thats about it not much of a landscaping thats the problem with it

They should do more of landscaping. Personally I am not worried of that, I want to see how good the ride is. But though the theme makes it more exciting then anything. I really do want more than a BORG SPHERE

I can't wait to see the coaster on Monday. Per the park's request, we can take pictures but can't put them on the 'net. Don't want to ruin any surprises as far as themeing goes!

Good point but i still dont think to much about the themeing. I am not saying that i wouldnt want any though.

To be truthful, I really didn't think to look at theming, because the coaster itself is what I focused on! B) If it rides anything like it looks it'll be awesome! If I'd known they were showing it, I'd had my VCR set! But I was sitting there waiting on the weather report and BAM :blink: they showed the Carowind's Flyover and there was the Borg Assimilator in all it's glory glistening in the sunlight! WOW! If the theming is as spectacular as the coaster, It should be spectacular! I can't wait till March 20TH!
