If White Lightnin' was "plagued with mechanical problems" (carowindsearlyyears.com) then why does it seem to operate fine at this place? Did they fix it? They removed it from Carowinds because of the problems.

For one I don't think the park removed it because of mechanical problems, although I could be wrong.

A ride that was technologically advanced and complex in 1977 is not necessarily so in 2009.

I moved to the Carolinas from California and we had a ride at Great America called Tidle Wave then renamed to Grease Lightning. It was exactly like that and from what I read Six Flags owns it now and uses it for parts at a different park.
