It came up a lot on Intimidator's page talking about trims, there are some different ways that speed is altered that I know of...
Cobra, the train is takin up the lift to differnt heights depending on load weight
Afterburn, we have mentiond that bunny hop may be to scrub off speed, I find it funny thou I always smile and get a floating on air kidish smile there, ha.
Intimidator may and Hurler yes you read that right HURLER uses trims. I am not sure when it got there, but hurler has one at the base of the drop before the first turn. (maybe to slow the train down to smooth out for the first turn?)
As for weather the coasters I time when I ride, cyclone and hurler (1 steel, 1 wood) today were both 4-6 seconds off the normal pace due to the coldness, it seemed like the coldest day of the operating season.
