What is your preference for ride times? Some like long rides which slow down loading times and others like faster rides with smaller waits.

I really don't care I mean the longer the wait usually the better the ride. Afterburn is an amazing ride and it never has a wait but Nighthawk and the Cobra almost always have long lines but I would wait as long as it takes to ride. I prefer the longer rides like Thunder Road and Afterburn. Both are fairly long and I love the thrills. I once rode Afterburn so many times without getting off that the ride operator made me and my friend get off!

If a coaster is longer, you can have more seating capacity and more trains to reduce line wait. Nighthawk has a long wait because of these issues and the whole load/unload process. I don;t think your logic follows through completely.

Long Ride does not necessarily mean long wait.

this thread is starting to confuse me. you dont know who is responding to who's post, you dont know if the topic is talking about the wait in line for a ride or the actual ride time...im gonna go to sleep on this one

In my opinion the length of the ride isn't as important as the quality of a ride -- as long as the ride isn't extremely short.

I mean yea a 10-15 second ride like Kingda Ka, great, but it's too short.

But once you get into the range of about 30 seconds to a minute, that's where I think it relies more on quality then ride length.

As for waits, it depends on the ride. I'd wait about 10 minutes for something like Cyclone or Hurler, whereas I'd wait about an hour for something like Nighthawk. The ride time doesn't really have an effect on how long I'm willing to wait, so much as the quality, again.
