Be interesting to see what the new color scheme for ol' Cyclone is. My favorite, by far, was the original red-orange. I doubt we'll see a return to that with Intimidator and Vortex being red, though. Hopefully they'll pick a good scheme AND paint it as well as they did Nighthawk. They did a fantastic job on that one.

And no mention of Vortex. I kinda doubt that one is gonna get painted this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they do change up the color scheme on that one eventually, but they might well wait until the coaster really needs painting before doing so.

Vortex is being painted too so it might be intimidator and cyclone that are red.

Where did you read or hear that Vortex was getting painted? It needs it yes, but have they said it? I know it was mentioned Cyclone was getting painted by the big dog on the porch. Please provide your facts if I've missed something.

It's stated on Wikipedia that they are (which is where he must be getting his info from) and was posted in a thread somewhere on this site. However, those of us with any sense knows that Wikipedia is NOT a 100% valid source for in-depth information.

Carowinds more than likely would have mentioned it in the newsletter in addition to Cyclone; if it were in fact true. I guess we will all see next season if it hasn't been confirmed officially before then.

TBH, Ricochet needs painting the most IMO. Or atleast remove the grease. But yea, I think a nice carolina blue with sandy pinkish brown (if that makes any sense lol) supports would look great with the boardwalk theme. But I have always though green arrows with white supports look awesome. Actually, green arrows with any support color look awesome.

I started this thread back in october, and if you would have read the first post, i saw it on wiki and was simply asking everyone's opinion and if anyone else had heard that vortex would be repainted. I know that wiki isn't always accurate. so that was the reasoning behind the topic.

All I got it from was that the topic is called vortex AND cyclone getting repainted.

I know it was rumored and was on Wiki, I don't consider that a source, nor do I TMZ in the entertainment industry. Maybe I'll go on Wiki and put in there every coaster getting painted pink and see how long it takes to show up here.
