It also shows the parking lot. Then grass under the coaster. Planet Snoopy. The Sky tower. Night Hawk. Why waste there time putting all that in.

Wow its been a long while since I have posted and read the boards. I am excited to see the first train arrived the other day, I wonder when the next 2 will arrive? 73 days seems like such a long time but it will be here before you know it. I am also excited about the first riders auction that will be announced as well. All we can do now is sit back and wait for testing to begin! :D

I think he is talking about who designed the layout of the ride. I have no idea who it was, or any of the recent B&M hypers in fact. I know Werner Stengel used to do most B&M rides (he did Top Gun), but he has been retired for a while and his company doesn't list Diamondback or Behemoth, so probably not them.

I figured thats what he meant lol...well theres the "contact us" link on their site he is free to use...

But if it makes anyone feel better, I designed a coaster and even made a model of it, in nolimits featuring the worlds first panaromic u-turn 09/27/2006.

Unless I'm being a complete idiot, I can't find a link to any of the bidding on Carowinds' or Intimidators website now. I went back into my browser history and found the auction stuff, and all bids have been cleared (sorry Jarvis; it was a nice thought at least lol) except for a $200 by Richard E. Maybe they opened the auction prematurly?

Anyways:

Are you ready to be the first to burn rubber on the tallest, fastest, and longest rollercoaster in the Southeast? Intimidatorâ„¢ opens to the public on Saturday, March 27, 2010, and you could be the first to ride this mammoth coaster by participating in the Intimidatorâ„¢ First Ride Charity Auction.

Carowinds has partnered with the Dale Earnhardt Foundation to hold the first ride auction by remembering the legend of Dale Earnhardt, and benefitting our local community at the same time. From now until the auction closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 23, bid on your chance to win a seat on one of the first three trains released during the opening day ceremony.

All proceeds will go to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation to benefit local charitable programs focused on children and education like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Make-A-Wish®, Salvation Army® and the American Red Cross.

Bidding Rules:
â– All bids must be secured using a valid credit card. The card itself will not be billed until the end of the auction once the winners have been determined.
â– The bidding will begin at $50.00 per seat (winning bids will receive one seat on one of Intimidator's first three trains during the opening day ceremony and two (2) Regular Single Day admission tickets for March 27, 2010).
â– Winners will receive a confirmation email from Carowinds on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 if they have won.
â– Seats will be chosen by each winner based on the amount of the winning bid and the seating availability on the day of the event. The highest bidder will have first choice, the second highest bidder second choice and so on. Please check the "See the Bids" page to determine where you rank in the auction.

â– Winners have the option to update their bid if they are not satisfied with their standing by simply going to the "Update your Bid" page.

â– Winners must be available to check-in at 9:00am on Saturday, March 27, 2010 for the first ride. Those that show up late could loose their seat eligibility.
â– Intimidator's first ride will depart at 10am.
â– For corporate sponsorship bidding, please email danielle.swords@carowinds.com

Edit: Also, I don't feel like going back through the last few pages to see if it has been posted, but: Dale Earnhardt has been announced as one of the five inductees into the Nascar Hall of Fame in 2010! :)

your in luck, you dont have to go back thru pages, just go to tthe very last post in the auction thread! right below this thread...

I mean really dude the topic is right under this one that clearly says auction right in the title! Stop being lazy...

Well you should! Do you think every question you ask about non construction is gonna be in a thread about construction...

Dang, we knew Dale Earnhardt was inducted into the HOF a couple months ago. Pretty much knew when it was announced to come here Dale would be among the first. Did the news just make it up to Ohio? We may need to work on that pipeline up your way.
