You beat me to it! :(

I want you input for this event. As always, I have a strong dedication to the coaster fan community and want to give you an event worth attending. Feel free to use this forum (Thanks, Jonathan!) as a means of expressing what you are looking for...and what you are NOT looking for. Obviously, I am aware the ERT on Intimidator is a must, and you may leave the obvious out. I love creative ideas that are feasible, and took many notes last year--so there will be changes for the better. I will have great Q&A opportunities, so come with questions ready!

Now, here's your chance to tell me what you want in YOUR event. GO!

You should give us a sneak peak of next years season. Will we have anything new?

I thought that last year's Coaster Stock was an amazing event, and there really isn't anything I can think of that would need improvement. The only real suggestion that I could make would be to have most of the coasters (and, of course, the flyers) open during ERT hours instead of specific rides. This would allow for people partial to a certain ride (or just want to ride Intimidator for four hours) to have a bit more freedom.

I'm not sure that this would work very well, but there's my two cents.

Can they even get intiminhater testing first!

Im not sure I understand your logic. Most of the coasters were open last year...oh I get it, you want the virtually the entire park open at one time, before and after the park closes to the general public...dream on buddy (or get ready to write a real big check...)

Humm a saturday...well like I said before, it would be nice to have the game thing inside to keep away the regular park guest so they wont get confused, especially at the awards ceremony. If you follow last years game plan you will have another successful event!

The one suggestion I would have is to have Intimidator ERT in the morning and at night. Lets face it, most of the people coming for the event, especially those from out of town, are going to be there for Intimidator. The line will probably be massive during the day, so having two sessions would give everyone all the rides they could want. A few years ago I went to Spring Fling at Six Flags Over Georgia and they had Goliath in both the morning and night, and I thought it worked out really well.

I loved what went on last year (for the parts that I could be there and attend). I think the behind-the-scenes tour should happen again. But if I remember right there was supposed to also be a preview of what SCarowinds was going to have that year was well. I really think that by previewing SCarowinds at the event would be a great advertisement in itself to bring those visitors back who attended CoasterStock and Carowinds may not be their home park. Yes many of the people coming to CoasterStock this year will be there for Intimidator, but why not use the opportunity to make it an advertising-experience to bring those guest back.

Dani, here is a really big suggestion though. I have looked at the events list online for Cedar Point's COASTER MANIA 2010 event. I think a little borrowing of some of their ideas would be a great addition to CoasterStock. I think a FilmFestival would be a great idea. Getting video for potential new commercials or just even a trip report or maybe even getting some testimonials from other actual guests about what they love about Carowinds.

I liked the idea of the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion Shoot-Out but I think it would fit in better in one time chunk and not two. Also the idea of a Miniature Golf Challenge (or Putt Putt as some call it) would be a unique event. I also think that Park Jeopardy should come back but I am not so sure if it should be in Jeopardy format or another type of gameshow.

Just some ideas....

I second this. A really unique and up-close experience.

I was not able to attend last years event, so if any of my ideas are repeats I'm sorry. I think a scavenger hunt would be something worth looking at that involves the crew of Carowinds and the attendees of the event.

I like Jon's idea of having Intimidator ERT for both morning and night. I know it's traditional at events to have different rides for different ERT sessions, but it would be a neat deal to do this for the opening year of Intimidator. I'd imagine the crowds might be spread out a bit for the ERT sessions if Intimidator was on both the early and late ERTs. Many of us would do both I'm sure, but a fair number would come for one and skip the other. It is a long day.

I certainly enjoyed the behind-the-scenes tour a lot last year and wouldn't mind doing it again. One of the highlights last year was Jarvis trying to pry some info out of our hosts about whether there was room in the shop for 32-seat B&M hyper trains.

As one of the camera nuts I like the photo walkback idea too.

It would be neat if they showed a film of Carowinds' days gone by. Remember the little moneys on that pirate ship that sat where White Lightning used to - with koi swimming around in that famous green-blue water? I still remember that chair lift that carried folks across the park from kiddie land to the Carolina board walk. We captured some of the sights in our old super 8, family movies. And how about Smurf Island? I never did get to that island? What went on there, and how did people get over there anyways? An inspiring mind wants to know...

This would be the biggest comment that I would have from last year. Other than that, it was a great event.
