ERT= Exclusive Ride Time. Usually the ride is reserved for the group & not open to the public during the these time frames.

Yes, Intimidator deserves both day and night ERT. No question. The walk back under Intimidator similar to C3's construction tour would be cool, but I guess that's out of the question while it's in operation. But it would be nice to do a parking lot stroll without the FUZZ trailing for a change.

I agree with using the theater(s) for group gatherings if at all possible. That way Dani wouldn't have to fiddle with that buggy portable P.A. in the plaza, especially if the plaza has the potential to be used for something else….

This year's contest prizes may need to be reconsidered, although I could still use a toilet seat. Individual vials of Intimidator construction dirt? Personali-Tees gift cards? :)

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm certainly not wearing my Cobra pin every day, (only on special occasions), so you could probably skip that expense if needed.

If the museum is resurrected, contributions by Ken and Jay (hint) could make it even more special this time around.

BTW, I'm thrilled to hear that our favorite Phantom Pilot may be driving Intimidator for us. Can't wait to hear the new material!

That leads me to another question. I had such a variety of prize suggestions last year. I'd love to hear more suggestions. (and yes, the Park Jeopardy was an event that I made MANY notes on for 2010)

I would suggest maybe park tickets? Alot of people that came may didnt have a season pass or could benefit from a free ticket for a friend if they already have a season pass. That could be a plus for the parks bringing a potential season pass holder. I liked the prizes last year cause im a coaster noob but a good bit of people werent as into coasters like it would have been at c3 so things like a family meal voucher would be a nice touch (and again, get people to come back to the park). How about some pins also. I know a good bit of park junkies who are into the pin and patch trading. Throw in these things with the toilet seats then you have a good selection!

Hmmm...noticed this on the site right below the pricing info, which would make it different than last year:

Carowinds website wrote:NOTE: You must be a card-carrying coaster club member to participate in Coaster Stock. Each card-carrying coaster club member may bring (1) non-member with them to Coaster Stock. Tickets must be purchased in advance to receive entrance to ERT events.

Last year it was open to all, you just had to purchase a Coaster Stock ticket, hence the group of kids from a school / day care / whatever that showed up at the lunch.

If you're already in a club, you're good. They don't list them, but I imagine the usual list of suspects that get you into Coastermania or HWN apply here. If you're not in one and want to go, find a club member to take you as a guest or join one soon. Don't wait too long as you'll most likely have to show your club card at registration.

ACEers, of course, get into this AND C3 later in the year, so that membership would certainly be worth looking into. Otherwise you'll miss out on the buffets..oh, and the ERT, etc. too :D

I cant wait for this event again, it was great last year! Looks like another LONG day. I might even consider getting a campsite and staying just to make it easier... Did anyone do this last year? I know last year it was a Friday and this year its Saturday so I think its going to be quite a difference.... I just want to ride Intimidator tons of times without getting off. Maybe they will turn off the trims? Oh well I cant wait for the event and I know it will be great. I wonder if they will take suggestions of things to do or whatever? I know I sent some to Dani a long time ago, but I dont know if they were passed on or not. As far as coaster club goes, I was surprised to read that I thought it was going to be for everyone like last year as well.... ACE has that membership trial thing for like $15 or something so that might be a wise choice for someone who wants to not pay a lot and be able to go...

***Attention all Carowinds Coaster Stock fans!***

Coaster Stock Video Competition
You’ve taken the videos, now win the prizes! Submit your favorite homemade Carowinds video. This can be anything Carowinds-related. From those old home movies to a travel report, to your idea for a great Carowinds commercial. The more creative, the better!

All videos must be submitted in DVD format, be shorter than five (5) minutes in length and adhere to all posted Carowinds rules and regulations. (That means no on-ride footage!)

Carowinds officials will pick the Top 3 videos to be shown at the evening ceremony during Coaster Stock and the audience will vote and have the final say in who wins the top prize.

To be considered, please send your DVD by July 11, 2010 to:
Carowinds - Bryn Hough
Public Relations Department
14523 Carowinds Blvd.
Charlotte, NC 28273

Be sure to clearly mark your DVD and case with your first and last name. All DVD’s will be returned at the event. You must be present for Coaster Stock to be eligible.
