Your favorite, friendly-neighborhood pilot has traded his wings for racing strips. This year you will find me at the new Intimidator. Maybe, another star pilot will be discovered at Phantom Flyers, now called Woodstock’s Gliders, but it’s time for this wing man to try something different at the racetrack.
When you visit this year you can expect new treats. While the new diving coaster is screaming all our names, and the new Planet Snoopy will be sitting pretty in its fine, new paint-&-glory, the old haunted mansion will also be worth checking out. It now sports a new theme and has been totally updated with more appeal. You can even say it’s the second new ride.
For those who also heard the "sold" rumor, Carowinds has not been sold. It is now under the umbrella of a huge cooperation that owns cruise ships, the AMC movie-theatre chain, and other entertainment venues. This business structure is similar to that of Paramount’s Carowinds and Viacom. While Cedar Fair allows its theme park workers to enter any of its 11 parks across the US for free, there’s no word yet on how or if this new business pairing will benefit employees.
