I noticed some people on here really do get sarcasm. Some don't. Some think they do, but really are the butt of others sarcasm.

For example, when someone brings up a rumor about PC (especially getting a hyper coaster) we always have some creative ideas, thoughts etc. with a little sarcasm sprinkled in here or there.

Anyway the last post concerning the rumored hyper was closed before I could respond to a sarcastic comment made by one of the most overbearing people I've ever seen in a forum. Most know whom I'm speaking of....That being said, when I said that it was an amazing rumor, I was being sarcastic. Simply because we have beat that rumor(hyper coaster coming in 200...) to death. Max is right that rumor has been around longer than some of you!

As for 2005, I'm predicting waterpark expansion (surprise, surprise) and maybe a decent flat. No sarcasm this time

And I aggree, some people just can't recognise sarcasm. Just because were getting a Stand-Up wooden looper for 2005, dosen't mean you guys have to get all up tight...

Let me comment:

1) I logged on and saw the "Hyper for 2005" thread and said "geez, not again." Its like a bad case of Deja Vu. Sure, I'd love a hyper at the park but that decision is left up to the park. I think we've flogged a dead horse (and then some) when it comes to the hyper, if it ever comes to the park. I knew that thread wouldn't be around very long.

2) If the person thought that a hyper was coming to the park because of that crack that was made in my other post (and I'm not saying that is where it was picked up but the person who started the latest hyper thread posted a response about a hyper in my report about the DC shooting), its called humour as I previously said.

I have a very dry, sarcastic, acidic, and evil sense of humour. I try to be nice around here because kids post here. If I said half the stuff I wanted to, I'd probably be booted. So, I try to watch what I say. I realize that some of the younger ones might not grasp that style of humour (or sarcasm for that matter). So, let me recommend viewing any of the Monty Python tv episodes or movies and Fawlty Towers. I tend to be very Basil Fawlty-ish at times. "Eating Raoul" is another example of dark humour that I enjoy. The last scene in that movie just kills me. Mystery Science Theatre 3000 is another example too.

If you hear an enticing rumour (or read one on another forum...say Troll Network...anything you read over there-TN-, don't take it with a grain of salt...take it with the whole container of salt) that mentions a B&M launched hypertwister coming in 2006 to Carowinds, please check with somebody before posting. (Just my humble opinion.)

Rumours are fun to a point. After that point, they can get old very fast.

I heard this from a friend, who is one of the Top leaders son of Paramount's Carowinds!!

DUH! You never listen! I have the support to back up the rumor for next year!

Until the park announces it, its a rumour. That's how it goes.

Seriously speaking, When i post, I post to have fun. I think there is a great mixture of people who post here. I appreciate the younger crowd as well as the older folks. Its just that im a fun kinda person and if you knew me you would know that im a very nice person and a caring one at that. The only person that kinda knows me is max and im sure he could tell you guys that im impartial and fair. Usually after i post some kinda thrash post i generally PM the person and let that know that it wasnt personal and it was just a post for laughs, but at someone elses expense. I mean hey, what are comedians anyway!!

I know alot dont tend to lean towards me and its not just folks on this site. I have been "hated" on at other sites as well (check signature )!! But hey im cool w/ it. I look at it like this, if i want read bland "unseasoned" post then i would go to CNN.com. But i want to be youthful and cherish my youth so i have fun in everything i do.

So please folks i urge you guys to not take things personal and if you have a problem w/ what i post and if you felt i went "overboard" by all means send me a PM.

What cracks me up the most about CZ is RollerNut's sig. I've never seen such denial about the boat. Its gone. Its not gonna come back in 2004 like he hopes. (Trust me, its gone. Its really gone. Its not coming back.) They're probably chucking pieces of it into the fire up at Carolina Country BBQ to cook the meat! Then, he still has "trackwork complete (rumoured)." Psst: its done...I saw it.

If it wasn't for stuff like that, then people wouldn't be talking about the site. I mean I've seen some outlandish things on Troll Network but nothing takes the cake as to some of the things I've seen over on CZ.

I usually know if something is sarcasm or not. I am not as in the know on some of these issues so when I first see that "Cyclone is being retracked" and so on, I sometimes think it may be happening - at first. Of course I usually wait til I have more facts before drawing a conclusion on a post or two and usually see when to take something serious or not. But... it can be difficult to tell sometimes. I have no problems with anything that has been posted so far and usually only believe what I can see pictures of or verify through the park page. I do like to hope and ponder issues... that can be lots of fun. Normally with a rumor someone says it is a rumor and does not state it as fact. It's when they are posting seriously to be sarcastic that it gets hard to tell sometimes. Net talk can be hard to read if not careful since you do not get tone of voice and facial expressions (except for Smilies if used).

I am sure on this forum we are mostly coaster/carowinds fans, but for those outsiders who do visit we should use caution that a thread does not get taken out of context or as a fact.

Again, I enjoy all the posts and have not had a problem figuring out reality from fiction, but I can also see where others might.
