I found out also by carowindszone that Hurler is also getting a mak-up job. I hope Hurler will ride a bit smoother this season.

P.S most of you people know this already

Pictures.........Proof.........credibility??

When you make reference to bogus sites then some type of credible evidence should be submitted.........

Uhh notice how the URL of those pictures is Jonathan-Hawkins.net. I'm the one who posted those pictures on *this* website in these very forums, and nowhere did anyone here state that it was from Hurler retracking. With that said, I'm sure Hurler will get some retracking done, since its typical for all wooden coasters to get retracking done in the offseason, but I have no idea if it will be major retracking or not. I could care less about smoothness since I've never thought it was rough; I just want it to be running back up to speed this year.

Amen to that Jonathan. Hurler was no more or no less rough last year vs. previous years, but was SLOW all year. I think it's something with the trains, as I didn't notice anything major done with the track last season. They did seem to do some retracking later in the year that helped it not slow as much in the 2nd turn, but it was slow before then. That killed the airtime for most of my rides last year, leaving the new seatbelts pretty unneccesary.

Thunder Road was my favorite woodie in the park last year. Hopefully they'll keep it at last year's level or better, and get Hurler back to it's old form.

Wow! I figured when the new mangaement came in, it would take a year or two to start seeing changes. These guys got on the ball in a hurry.

bgwfreak...after seeing some of the changes that's been made to the park, the park is going to look really nice this year. I won't go into some of them but you'll be pleasantly surprised when you go!

I agree that Hurler was painfully slow all year. It was definately a train issue, possibly packing the bearings with too much grease. Of all the times I rode it last year, I had ONE good run which was almost as good as the ride gets. Nothing like what we are use to though.

In the beginning of the season Hurler seemed to be going the fastest, but near the end of the season it started getting slower. My stepdad thought he saw trim brakes throughout the track. If it's a train problem then they should ditch those and use the regular trains without the (IMO) "useless" seatbelts.

No, I think there wasn't as much air time on the first 2 bunny hills as there was about 3 or 4 years ago. The ride seemed to "controlled" and not as wild and caotic.

maybe it was just a good day for the ride when i went
