Well I was at Kings Island in late July and it was already closed and according to RCDB it never reopened. I was just wanting to know if anyone had any info about its future.

I would say that it will be meeting Mr. Wrecking Ball. I would think it is costing way to much each offseason to get it up and going. But that is what I hear through the grapevine.

They had to close it due to a lawsuit, that wasn't even proven accurate and seemed to be fake to make some money off the park ...

Not quite sure what they're going to do with it yet, hopefully they don't remove it though, it was my favorite ride there last time I went.

That would suck if they tore it down! I've never ridden it but it's definitely on my list!
Also, why are the supports on Diamondback's lift a different color than the rest of the ride?

Nope, KI did not have to close SOB. It was cleared to reopen, after the state found nothing wrong with the ride. CF decided to keep it closed because "they were not satisfied with the ride experience."

They wanted the beginning of the ride to stick out more and be more noticable, while allowing the rest of the ride to be more hidden in the woods, like a Diamondback truly would be.

Neither was I. And that was with the loop.

I was looking at kings island park map, and it doesn't even have son of beast listed on it at all nor the website.

I might be a little late on this but as any heard if they are gonna tear it down, or keep it? I know the speculation was that it would never reopen.

I think the park is too clingy to the title "tallest wooden coaster." I hope that its torn down soon.

And I say that as the only person I know who voluntarily rode Son of Beast more than once.

Haha well at least they are trying to fix it. Maybe they need to go the Texas Giant way.
