No it can't be. I got an email from Carowinds the other day giving info about the Dale Earnhardt thing, but at the bottom it still said stay tuned for an exciting announcement for the 2010 season. Dani, how long you gonna tease us with this announcement?
Just kidding.
Anything worth-while is worth waiting for...

We're getting Demon Drop!!!!!!!! So thats why they keep digging/filling up/flattening that one area in front of Intimidator.

Oh no, its paramount all over again.

Now that I'm on the Intimidator pit-crew, I have no idea what other ride we'll be working with, since every ride associate has two or three rides to rotate among. Maybe you're on to something... Maybe it will be a whole new area over there with restaurants and such. Build me a Cook-Out. I'll be over there everyday. Have you seen their milkshake marque? Geez! They have shakes I've never even heard off.

And you can combine any of them to make your dream shake too.

I'm guessing it's the Peanut's Twilight Spectacular (similar to the Starlight Experience at Cedar Point) like Knott's just announced. I think that would be kinda cool with all of the trees in Planet Snoopy all lit up!

Now that'd be cool. But I want a laser show to come to Carowinds. Something that would use most of the center of the park for a rockin laser show kinda like they do (or used to do not sure if they still do it or not) up at Cedar Point.

So I received a Carowinds newsletter today via email. Apparently they are no longer stating to stay tuned for an exciting announcement. So apparently the big announcement is that "Fred Hammond will headline Joyfest 2010". Thoughts?

Forget the show.
What about a laser tag arena. Now that would truly be awesome!
Teams: The Snoopys vs. The Red Barrons, 21 Century style. Hurah!

I had no idea. I thought we had to buy them as they are. I'll bet the ones on the marque are other customer's dream shakes. How do I get mine listed, shake with pound cake?

Didn't we have this at one point, but it was torn down for Repta... I mean Flying Ace Aerial Chase?

that ride demon drop is actually a cool ride. there used to be one at the california part that night hawk came from. looks lame but does have some excitement to it.
do you think the announcment could be something to do with the old spongebob ride or scooby doo thing since neither one is listed in the planet snoopy ride list?

Not too mention the fact that the laser tag arena failed horribly. It cost way to much to put in and very few people even knew about or played. The arena itself had a horrible layout and design. Something to think about (HINT HINT TO THE BIG GUYS WATCHING THIS FORUM) the B side of Action FX Theater has not ran in a long long time. Now, I know for a fact that when something funky happens to a seat or something on the A side, maintenance just switches the bad part from the A side with a good one on the B side. So why not just do this redo AFX so there is only one theater side and for the B side remove everything redo the flooring push the walls out just a bit to create more floor space (easily done by cutting some of the "lining" areas in front of the doors) and put a huge LaserTag arena in there. By doing this you conserve space, pact more attractions into the smallest amusement park in the CF chain, and utilize an otherwise useless space.

AND here's another thought, if they would clear all the ride equipment out of the B side, that's more space that could be used for the SCarowinds Last Laugh 3D haunted maze. I hope someone up top reads this...... :!:

To be honest....

I don't believe so. I mean I would think " hey, we're getting rid of both spongebob and scooby doo" would be kinda big since Carowinds and Cedar Fair can both be quoted on "bringing more family entertainment back to its parks". So since they already said "Nick is out, Snoopy is in", announcing something like that now, that they are getting rid of Spongebob and Scooby, would not only be kinda redundant, it would also be kinda anti-climatic. Like beating the point into a drowned man's head (He's already dead). I seriously think the BIG announcement was the Joyfest announcement. Especially because time is ticking away and opening day is coming faster than ever so to make such a huge and exciting announcement would just kinda be over kill on advertisement for the park. It would probably just annoy people more that another change happened to the park, because the park would be in the news too much.
