Realistically though would they do it. Not likely. While Camp Wilderness campground may not get super super busy, it is open year around and does bring in a good bit of $$. Not to mention it keeps potential guests during the open season on the grounds so they could spend more money on Carowinds and merchandise and etc. Yes parking lots are one way, but think for just a second. Intimidator is quickly being viewed as the best coaster in the US for 2010. Meaning big business, big crowds, filled parking lots. During events such as 4th of July, Joyfest, Sonfest, and Halloween there is no available parking spaces as it is. During events like that people even park at Plaza de Miserable Mall and business across Carowinds Blvd and walk all the way to the front gate. Trust me I saw it last year. And with Intimidator eliminating more parking, things are going to get crazy. It might be as bad as trying to go to the mall on Christmas Eve. Another reason why Carowinds should buy back the land the plaza mall is on and build a huge butt parking garage there and use more parking lot to expand on.
Anyways back to the matter at hand, my point is the layout of the Carowinds plot of land is not exactly ideal for future expansion without trading off something else (whether it be a ride or parking spaces or campground area).
NOW bring the topic back around I don't foresee anything else being really done for the 2010 season. Maybe I am just skeptical but I like to try to be more realistic.
