I had thought about adding prototypes and Intamin Accelerators to the poll, but I kinda thought that it was kinda out of question.

Good point, but I think they're the best thrill for the price.

CarowindsFreak wrote:I also agree with a floorless. Those motorcyle coasters look pretty neat to. Time will tell when carowinds gets their next coaster. It could be next season or it could be a few years.they next thing I think carowinds should do is
take out the old wave pool and put in a new water slide, like the ones that go stright down or the funnels

well the coaster could Come first along with the slide

Yes, carowinds needs to expand it's water park. I hope it is a bowl slide.

I would say a GG woodie. Maybe a jr. one like whats going into quassy. I think that would look really god in the boardwalk section, and hell, I'd be as pumped for it as Intimidator.

I do have to say that something like a zacspin or a ball coaster from intamin would fit easily into the park as it is now allowing for futur expansion later...which could mean more rides and shows and thus more bang for your admission price (whenever the park does expand).

I would really like to see a zacspin or a ball coaster at carowinds. and please correct me if i am wrong but wouldn't a zacspin at carowinds be the first of its kind in the US? That would be another selling point for the "southern bell" of amusement parks in the south.

with theme parks dropping like flies, more than likely, the next coaster will be something moved from another park.

WHAT! I wouldnt say "theme parks are dropping like flys" I mean there are some closures but nothing to be fearful of. Look at the caliber of parks closing. Now disney parks or parks like dollywood were to start shutting the gates then there is something to worry about.

I agree that a GCI woodie would be most logical for a new addition to the park. Like somebody said on another thread, removing the Action Theater or Hurler would open up so territory for a large to medium size woodie. I could see the same Thing happening at KD. It might happen.

Hell, the way freestyle is going, Jarvis is going to be able to pick up that entire park for about $300.

I would love to see carowinds get a floorless coaster I guess. I think it would be a nice addition. I could see rip roarin rapids being ripped out and either a floorless or a woodie being placed there. I dont see hurler being removed anytime in the near future. What I really want to see is some re-paving of the parking lots and expansion of the park out beside thunder road... Oh well only time will tell what we get in the future.... maybe they will take that crappy yo yo thing out and put a nice flat ride there..

I want a GCI woodie. But where would a new coaster go anyway? I don't think Carowinds would sacrifice another water ride, it is just too hot in the summer for that. So what else could be taken out for it? Hurler? Is there any other ride in the park that takes up a lot of room that could be taken out? I guess they could knock down the paladium, but I really can't see that happening. Honestly, if they are going to build a new coaster I think Hurler would be the thing to go. It isn't really popular, and it takes up plenty of space. Heck, if the coaster was big enough, Xtreme Skyflyer might go too. I agree with Jarvis and Dave though, the Intimidator is enough for me for a long time. I'm definitely not expecting another new coaster for at least 5 or 6 years.
