General Carowinds discussion

Saturday is almost here, and I haven't seen anyone mention breakfast. And you call yourselves ACEers! :P

One thing I'm wondering about is timing. Pass processing opens at 8:30, which means they'll probably open the parking gates somewhere between 8:15 and 8:30. And this will be when the line effectively starts forming for Intimidator. I don't need to be on the first train out or anything, or I would have bid in the auction. I don't want to be behind a huge mob of people, though.

IHOP was suggested during the ACE tour, and that has worked well in the past. We'd have to get there a bit early, though. Shoney's is quick as long as you don't go all weird on them and order from the menu instead of getting the breakfast bar - and it's right at the park. Another option that might work better time-wise is Bojangles. I assume no one is hankering to go to Cracker Barrel again this go-round.

Just thought I'd get the ball rolling, throw in your ideas / suggestions and we'll figure out a plan.

Dat man, Bo!
I wish I could go to breakfast with you guys, but at 8:30 I'll be making my way to the park to clock in.

That's not even the right generation of Dodge Charger. They should be ashamed of themselves (for more reasons than that!).

Well, I'm game for about anything. Just let us know.

This is kind of a bummer for Pass holders. Guess we need to get there a little early and form a baracade for them. :D

Ok, let's plan on Bojangles on Carowinds Blvd. then. Now, what about timing?

People will be lining up after getting their passes processed starting at 8:30. The closer to 8:30 we're at the park ,the less people in front of us for Intimidator when the park opens. So stand in the cold at 8:30 and get on Intimidator first thing, or get there at 9:30 and maybe wait an hour-plus to get on the ride? I'm guessing we'll be in line roughly the same amount of time either way.

Since we don't have to worry about getting seated, waiting on waitresses, etc. at Bojangles timing won't be too critical. We could shoot for 8-ish, then head over to the park sometime after 8:30. Suggestions?

I'll be there at 8 if my allergies don't sideline me for the day -- that would really suck :(

Can Bojangles do that?
