Right. I guess Busch Gardens, Knoebels, and Dollywood are doing it all wrong, whereas Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom was right on target.

Its not like its an overfrown forrest blocking the coaster trains from completing the course. I'm sure he would have a heart attack if he ever visits BGW or animal kingdom...

I have to agree whole heartedly. There is a reason BGW is constantly voted most beautiful park. People love their thrills mixed with beautiful landscape.

I agree, leave the trees ALONE! Trees make the rides better because:
1) They provide shade for the walkways
2) They hide some elements of the tree from guests view, and that gives possibility for surprises
3) They can make the ride look better

Carowinds is starting to look like a stinking infant amusement park!

I don't like the fact they are removing trees, this isn't Canada or Ohio where it only gets 80 degrees in the summer. Someone should let Bart know this is the south, it gets hot! Maybe he's got his summer house in Ohio.

By the way I would not trade the Intimidator for 25 million in landscaping! Would anyone else?

You've gotta admit, now that most of you've been in the park this season of 2010, the palm trees are an added plus. They will look even better when they fill out.

Congratulations on the park Carowinds. Planet Snoopy and the Intimidator look and are fantastic.

I'm not one of those eco-nuts or tree huggers... But I firmly believe that part of the amusement park experience is based on nature - whether that be in the form of trees, flowers, bushes...WHATEVER it is, it shouldn't be removed. It's also very nice to have a roller coaster hidden from view in my opinion. This causes a bigger reaction when you see it up close.

You have to remove lots of trees and vegetation to place rides and other attractions but what I think your saying is to replant them someplace else. Is that it?

Again I totaly have to agree with you. I think he needs to listen to the park guests about their views and remember this is the SOUTH where it gets a little warm in the summer. Shoot look at the way they built grizzly and beast taking out only the necessary trees. You cant get a better experience than rushing past a bunch of trees. And besides, has he ever spent 8 hours in the park on a Saturday waiting in line here at Carowinds? Bet he would be sweating now...

I was thinking, after reading a lot on here today, that maybe should have a "suggestion" thread. Just being political you know.

I personally like the way Disney and Universal does their queue lines to be part of the attraction not part of the Crispy Critters and I like foliage. Maybe installing the pavers is Bart's way of balancing out the heat.

Btw I hope they fix this but the fog projection effect was not working on Boo Blasters today...I hope this was a one day thing.

The fog effect may be down for a little while. While it was a great and fantastic idea, I am curious as to whether or not it was a fiscally responsible decision for the park. Having that type of effect, can get pretty costly on a day to day operation working the effect for about 8 hours a day. Although it is a cool effect and do hope it is up and running when I visit.
