Now don't get me wrong when I say this, 'cause I love that pricing. It's $25 less than the pass I bought in '08. However since I live in FL now (was in GA/NC), I don't get up to ATL that often anymore. I can kind of see how bankruptcy is an issue when they are giving away passes like that tho. I mean who wouldn't pay $5 more for a season pass and can go to the other parks too on it (other than people who wouldn't go more than once, obviously). I just don't see how they would make any money off that deal other than people may spend more inside the park, but that's still a risk IMO.

On a more personal note I can say that SFOG is at the bottom of my list of 9 parks attended to date by favorite (BGT, BGW, Carowinds, KD, SWO, IOA, USF, Disney's AK, SFOG- in that order ranking). That being said, I probably won't be getting a new pass anywhere in the near future to those parks. Now if I can just get up to New Jersey or Cali then maybe....lol

That is a great price... but really, only SFOG is close by, so to speak, and with Intimidator now open, I have no super compelling reason to purchase. Now, if I knew I was going to other SF parks, it would be a steal. I just wish our Plat Pass wasn't so much. It's not an issue when you only have to buy one or two passes, but it is an issue when you have to buy 6 at once... still, sure am wishing to go back to KD a couple of times this season... oh well...

I can see your point.... But, price your passes low enough to sell as many as you can. It's guarenteed money, paid upfront. You sale x passes at $75. You run an economy special at $50 and sale 2x passes. You actually make more money up front. Since there really aren't any other parks really close by, it pays off to pay basically a days admission just in case you go to another one later on. If you live close by, you are going to get a season pass anyway. Your basically playing to the people that live 2-4 hrs out and selling them upfront instead of hoping they come to the park. Clever marketing if you sale enough that the numbers work in your favor. They aren't selling to the enthusiast's, it's the general public's perception that they play on. I'm sure they saw enough of a gain last year that they decided to run the special again this year.
