I went to Joe cools cafe (nick Cafe) and we had quite a few problems. first the lady working the register, did not know how to ring anything up and then open the register. the pizza which just came up, like you all said was nasty!!!! Also the fires were very cold, but with the seasoning they were ok.

The only place I eat at now is the 50's diner, their chicken tenders are always good and hot, and really flavorful. They have superb bacon cheeseburgers too. Everytime I go they are really busy so the food is always hot and fresh.

Wow, sad to see it was so wide spread. We did not do Chickfila because we assumed it would be more expensive, but after spending $25 for two sandwiches and a small order of fries with two medium drinks and it was ALL bad we discovered we would have gotten out cheaper. And from what I could tell it looked a lot better.

Drop food prices, drop drink prices, and improve quality and see how much more people will spend in the park.

I really enjoyed the Lamb that they served along with the cold pasta dish. I thought the Tenderloin was pretty good but the gumbo was lacking. I did not try the burgers or the seafood thing. I can say I sorta enjoyed the meal I have had there this year.

LOL well Dave there is a reason why they cater the media day meal rather than serving their own food. Shows you how much confidence they have in their own product.

Sad thing is, if the quality goes up, the prices will too, and guest spending will sink even lower.

I have always eaten in the park, well almost everytime I go. On opening day I too went to the joe cools restaurant and had pizza. I like their pizza but I was stunned to see they increased the price it seems. The fries were cold and they didnt put much cheese on them, but they were OK...way expensive though. I usually go to Wings and get pizza, its the best it seems they have the hot pizza and bigger slices. Think I will go there from now on when I eat at the park. Overall I think they have decent food, I do like the food they have at coasterstock and stuff, not sure if that is catered or what but its good.

Yessir. Hardcore Carowinds peeps may be missing out alot bc Thrill Zone is considered the "lame" part of the park and end up eating elsewhere. But in my last 3 visits it's the only place I get food from and it's always fresh and on point. Last time I ate there was Scarowinds 09. I give the chicken tenders a nod over the Bacon cheeseburger bc they are so good but the burgers there are too!

Opening day, Sat. my friend ordered a beer a Wings. Well, apparently he was the first one to attempt to buy a beer that day. The keg had not even been tapped as of 1pm. So, the lady had to search for a supervisor to tap it, which took about 10 minutes. Then, the beer was luke warm on top of that. Opening day bugs I know. But c'mon. Warm Beer?

There is a place by Cyclone that isn't too bad. They have footlongs. I had one there back during Scarowinds. The fat one I had was at the little shop over by the Red Baron planes. Has the tables between it and what used to be Boots Baloon Race. Twas Good!!
