I wanted to let you all know your employee compliments go a long way!
Here's what happens when you compliment a park ride associate:

1. You cause workers to gain recognition not only among coworkers but with Carowinds VIPs
2. Each compliment comes a blue or red flag that is hung somewhere on the ride with the associate's name on it
3. The rides are in competition with each other for the most flags per park quarter - to receive special rewards
4. Ride associates who bring in the most flags for their rides are also awarded special incentives
5. You compliments are tallied as totals for the entire park as Carowinds is in direct competition with Kings Dominion, and Kings Island - who obliterated us last year

Please, Please, Please, take notice of our food associates, grounds associates, game associates, shop associates, and most importantly our ride associates. Write down their names, locations and visit Guest Services with your compliments. Guest services is located on your left as you enter the North Carolina entrance (North Gate) or on your right as you exit the North gate.

You may also call in your compliments from North Carolina at 704 588 2600 or South Carolina at 803-548-5300.

Trust me, I am one of the first to contact the park when I see a job well done.

On the other hand when I see true safety violations I don't let those slide either.

So far this season I have really seen some great employees and hope to see a lot of banners waving!

It really makes a big difference when people love your business because we are selling world class thrills, fun, and family entertainment, guided by the principles of safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity. We try hard to meet these everyday. Please keep finding those safety violations. That's not really a complaint, that's a heads up. We don't want as many accidents as Six Flags, who I believe holds the record for theme parks right now, but they also hold the record for some of the oldest parks, so, we have to give them that.

Stopped by Guest Relations on my way out this afternoon and Gave Intimidator crew a HUGE thumbs up. We rode 4 times this moring between 11:30 and 12:30 and the team was AWESOME.

Guests were really enjoying High Five Sunday :)

Keep up the Great work and how about rubbing off on some of the other teams in the park!

I sent an email about how great the crew was working and i think it creative how they have high five Sundays and fist pump Saturdays.

I got a reply that said that my compliment for a specific person and the crew would be passed on to the General Manager and Vice President.

I try to compliment employees when I can as well. Intimidator crew does such a nice job but its so crowded it hard to get a good word in. Everyone on the crew is great and I know I get to see you guys all the time, since I am at the park like every week lol. Oh here is a pic of me in front of intimidator, I am sure you have seen me there, I know you have Anthony!

Your compliments go a long way in the park and there are incentives for highly complimented ride crews, and individual ride associates.

I'm still looking for the next star to come from Flyers, now Gliders.
Gosh, I miss that ride! Maybe they will allow me to work both this season.

Ride Warrior, you look familiar to me. Next time please make yourself known if I don't peg you first.

I try to remember all the faces and conversations I have with the guest. It's a challenging, but it also a personal thing I love to do. I talked to one family on Friday who I remembered riding Intimidator and had also seen them at the Cotton Candy stand on my way to lunch. I called them out. A woman in the group said they were down from Alabama and had been at Carowinds for the last 4 days and having a blast!

Thanks for the compliments Warrior. You shades are very race-track cool!

People to take notice of: Guest Services crew - who would love to hear more compliments because they have to deal with many complains; Grounds crews - people who sweep the park all day and keep the rest rooms clean for us - imagine the park without them; People in games booths; People who work the shops; People in restaurants; People working food and drink stands; Maintenance crews who keep the rides going; Rides associates; First Aid crews; Life Guards; Survey takers, Photo takers...

Yea Anthony you have seen me a few times! I think it was 2 weeks ago or something I rode like 4 times in a row haha. Me and Dustin asked you about what happend to the flyers. Bluemoon, I am sure you have seen me if you are on the intimidator crew! I always wear those sunglasses too so.... I may be at the park this weekend again, not sure yet!

I actually put in a complaint last weekend on the Timmy crew. Grouper had no idea how to load. Groups of 4 or more in the single line were getting sent ahead of the regular line and the 20 min i was in line i saw atleast 50 empty seats.

Get it together guys, Really.

^I'm curious to know how many times you rode?

If you rode early in the morning there was a hiccup, but the matter was taken care of for the rest of the day. Also if you see something that frustrates you like that please let anyone on Team Intimidator know and it will be addressed.
