I personally do not believe that we will see a new attraction next year, because of for the past 3 seasons they have added a new (atleast to carowinds) attraction. Maybey we could see new paint or minor rehabs but nothing major. :(

^Carowinds has put something new in every year for a long long time, while it wouldn't surprise me if next year brought nothing, there is no reason to expect even a small addition. Looking at the Carowinds Timeline on Wikipedia, the last year I could legitimately say the park put 'absolutely nothing' in, was 1991 with the Paladium expansion being the sole addition.

Biggest laugh I've had all month. It may not be far fetched though, back in 02-04 when the park used to do the guest surveys, in the additional comments box I would always say "I would like to see a set of Flying Eagles like the kind that Kings Island has." Little did I know we would actually GET the ones Kings Island had.

In most additions were rehabs or used rides (southern star). Not big new flats lol.

Southern Star was our frenzoid, was it used before the park added in frenzoid? I wouldnt mind seeing some paint next year. Aterburn needs some, Vortex needs to be painted the color of its newly painted station, I could see the spine being that dark red and the rails being the tanish color, and maybe black supports I guess. Oh well maybe coasterstock will bring at least a slight HINT of what to expect next year, if anything...

That is what I mean, did u think I said it came from other park? I don't consider a ride that got moved to a different spot brand new

Southern Star was Frenzoid from 1986 to 2005. It sat in the boneyard for the 2006 season, and it was brought to Carowinds new in 1986. Just to throw this in, Carowinds and used rides goes back to the opening of the park. BTW, the number is 5 not 4.
Used rides:
2009 - Cobra
2008 - Yo-Yo
2005 - Dutchman and Flyers (Unconfirmed, but I heard(don't remember the source, so take this is a gain of sand) that Speedboats was built for Gilroy Gardens but never installed)
2004 - Nighthawk
Further back in Carowinds history
1979 - Antique Carousel(1923)
1973 - Double Decker Carousel(1905), Carowinds & Carolina Railroad locomotive #1(1897)

Used ride or new ride, to the GP it is all new 90% of the time.

I really want a Screamin' Swing. It doesn't have to come to Carowinds, I'll let them put it up in my backyard.

Maybe we can add a "shoot the rapids" like ride in the woods behind hurler. It would be a great way to cool off in the shade with trees around the ride. Or maybe a "grizzley" like ride in the woods. I just want to see a shaded ride in the woods, surrounded by trees.

I am hoping for some type of water ride as well. Hopefully it wont be like shoot the rapids thought (because of the problems), I guess as long as its not intamin it will work right? I do want to see another water ride though. What about a "pilgrims plunge" type ride (even though its intamin), I dont think they had major problems with its boats... What I really want to see next year is a lot of updating. We already know T-Road will continue its rehab, the asphalt is coming ou and pavers are going in, but we need to see some paint jobs all around. Afterburn needs a new paint job and a new queue line (the fence needs replaced badly). I think afterburn and vortex will get the paint jobs. Hurler has gotten some new paint on the rails and such so I think they are already working on some improvements like this. I would really like to see them expand on "county fair" and put more fair style rides in the area. I say if anything, we will get a flat ride of some kind, but I dont think it will be in the "field" of intimidator...

Carowinds has TREES? lol. Hardly. They were able to do that at Kings Dominion because it was a forest, but Carowinds is jammed in between a freeway and a bunch of industrial buildings...not many trees!!! But I'd like that too. (By the way, Grizzly's trees at K. Dominion are mostly gone now anyway due to expansions)
