Hello Gang,
I just wanted to let you all know that Woodstock Gliders has been calling me back. The more I ignored it, the louder it yelled. I truly missed not being there this year so I recently requested to go back. I thought it would take 2 weeks or more but Mr. Josh, an area 1 supervisor, got the ball rolling with Carowinds management and, I'm proud to say, they allowed me to go back. I'm back home where I belong!

I have apologized more than once for taking a spot on The Intimidator pit crew and then asking to leave because I understand Carowinds management's choice to have an A-Team on their main attraction this year. But Mr. Josh told me something really beautiful and hats off to him for doing so and helping me get back. He said, "We want people to be placed where they are the happiest because they won't do a good job if they're miserable." Isn't that awesome! Thank you, sir!

Gang,
Come on over and ride some more Flyers/Gliders this year so I can sing and joke with you again.
Your proud PhantomPilot/PhantomCat

OH MY! Why did you leave intimidator? Oh well, now when I bring my kids ill be able to say hey! I might bring my 3 year old this Friday morning for a couple of hours. I didnt go to the park for the first time this year this past weekend so I have some making up to do... I guess I wont get to ride intimidator though, but she will ride woodstock express over and over and over.... and the gliders over and over and over.... :D Maybe I will see you there!

Welcome back to the kid area RideWarrior. Don't forget, Gliders also comes with Snoopy's Yacht Club, and Joe Cool's Driving School. If I'm not at Gliders, I'll probably be at one of the other two. Many of the Snoopy Planet rides on the back row with Driving School will open at 11 AM on Fridays during the month of May 2010.

You come on by and visit me too. I'll bet you don't even know where the Gliders are. :)
It was so funny. On my first day back in Snoopy Planet I was in my Intimidator pit crew gear. Boy did I stick out like a cactus in a rose garden.

I'm pretty glad to hear this! Woodstock Gliders just really isn't the same without ya! No communication between the guest, that isn't fun. I love it when the host or hostess talks to you. Good to hear.

Yes, I chose to go back. The first thing some people think is I got demoted or something like that. I can't help what they first think but it sure is great to be back home. A group of guest, who have seen me at Gliders, still choose to call me the same name they created for me at the beginning of the 2010 season, "Intimidator Guy." I think thats really funny and I'm going to tell them next time I see them.

The best thing you can do for yourself at work is put yourself in a position to be as happy as possible, so I don't blame you! Glad you enjoy being back at the Gliders!

Why didn't you introduce yourself? Was that you standing at the exit that entire time. I remember seeing a guy whom I thought had been photographed and posted here on Carowinds Connection on one of the threads but I've never met the man so I left him alone, thinking it might not be him. Was that you? Please come back and introduce yourself.

Yes, I've received many ovations, and commits while working that ride and a tiny amount have not been pretty. One parent last year accused me of being drunk on the job. My question is, what's wrong with him and has he ever been around anyone who was drunk? Some people, outside of home and work, really don't get out much. But one thing is for certain:
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
Let it shine,
Let it shine,
Let it shine!

That probably was me then. I didn't want to bother you in the middle of loading/unloading/running the ride/singing . Perhaps next time though.

It was interesting, the only reason I noticed you in the first place, was I thought I heard a loud pre-recorded spiel (because surely no one could be that excited about the kiddie boats) from the Yacht Club. But sure enough it was you in the flesh. It's great to see someone so enthusiastic about their job, and I wish more of your co-workers took notice. (Although they have gradually gotten better over the years I think..)

Now that was beautifully put, man. If you aren't a writer, you should be. I'm looking forward to meeting you, and I do believe I have the right person in my mind from last Friday.
