I would expect painting/landscaping/cleaning type of improvements... for specifically speaking, I am not sure.

Its just going to be general improvements like painting ,etc. Maybe the Vortex will finally get some TLC as far as paint goes. It'd be awful to have it sitting there next to a shiny sparkling Vekoma flyer.

There won't be any flats added as previously hoped for.

no flats?? :'( darnit! i was hoping they would put a delerium,or a zipper,or a ring of fire,or bring back a bayurn curve(is that what they're called?)well maybe they'll add somthing to kiddy zone lol

Adding a flat ride(s) is not considered general improvements, or atleast I don't think it is. Maybe in 2005 we will see a new flat ride(s) - that or something with the waterpark.

i don't care about waterparks(unless it has a ride like dare devil drop at emerald point that thing was SWEET!)the one at carowinds is boring to me,last time i went i didn't even go into the water park,i'd rather they put in more flat rides like deleium or choas or zipper or ring of fire ETC.

I say please remove the stupid waterpark, it sucks anyway. But leave the Tidal Wave, it is cool.

the wave pool at emerald point is better, the waves are like 4 feet there, last time i went to the carowinds one(2001) the waves were barely 2-3 feet, and look at that small park Jungle Rapids that thing is about 2 acre's and it's better than carowinds' water park, the only bad thing about jungle rapids is there is only 5 slides but one is a halfpipe slide ;)

personally i would expect top notch slides and such from an exclusive water park. Carowinds is a theme park not a waterpark. True indeed it has a water park section but thats only a small bit of what carowinds has to offer. PC isnt in the market to secure the spot for having the best waterpark in park, however they are in the market to have patrons spend the whole day at the park. Carowinds focus is to offer a variety of thrills for everyone. By no means is the water park intended to be blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon. It's holding it's grounds as far as im concern. Every time in there its always crowded. Its gives me the "calm in the storm" feeling. To me its a place to relax and catch some sun and a place to just hang out. It has a variety of slides and water play for the whole family.................what else can you expect for free.

Free...It is included in admission...30 bucks for amusement park and ten for the waterpark. Their isn't a single thing 100% free.

I don't think that is how the price is split up. I would be excited if our waterpark got the "Boomerang Bay" make over. Like you said, the waterpark now stinks, but with theming, new slides, cabanas, lagoons, and waiter service, it sure wouldn't stink anymore.

I know that is somewhere close....I would like an expansion but it would be a the cost of the Frenzoid and White Water Falls.

Why do you say that? You don't know that for sure - there is plenty of land to squeeze in some more slides - besides they could always move Frenzoid closer to the pathway, it is pretty far out and that is wasting a lot of space. Although this is really "far-fetched", I personally think they should move the waterpark to the unused parking lot next to Thunder Road and use the South Gate as the entrance to the waterpark... but I am not expecting that to happen at all.

I agree with you so long as the waterpark doesnt under TR.

As long as they don't build a bridge over Thunder Road - that doesn't look good at all.
