Basically you don't have 4 across seats anymore. it's 2 arcoss. Most groups usually ride in pairs occasionally you got a 3 group, but mostly its 2 or 4. But you don't sit 4 across anymore so there isn't that many odd number groups to equal it out. I am trying to word it right for everyone to understand what i am trying to say. But i think everyone's got it.

I was actually going to post something like this (you beat me to it...lol). I would agree this to be the case.

Um, no. In either case you're still waiting on an odd-numbered group to come through the regular line.

Actually, you're better off with 2-across seating in this regard than you are with 4-across. With 2-across, every time there's an odd-numbered group the easiest solution is to add someone from the SRL, and stick them with the "odd man out" from the group. With 4-across you'd get called when there's a group of 3, but if there's a group of 5 there will be 4 in one row, and 1 from the group in another. If the next group in line is a group of 3, they'd fill that row and nobody from the SRL would be called.

Yup, I agree you are better off with 2 seaters. The line moves slow simply because there are SOOO many groups of 2 and 4. Thats the point of the single rider line though. I do like it when the ride ops do let the single rider line move some though, when there are a TON of groups of 2 4 6 etc, its happend to me so many times lol, but that is what the SR line is for so....

^^ you can do that with 2 across seating as well. its really not hard as long as you actually think about it.

Im still amazed at the issues with the single rider's line there. I hadn't experienced it yet, but in my experience at parks like Universal Studios Florida and IOA, I never ran into such issues or waits. I know it isn't an "express line" but I never waited more than 10 minutes on any of the rides that had a single rider line when in use. Perhaps they are still getting used to this system at Carowinds. Everyone give it some time. They will get it together sooner or later.

^I'm still amazed that people are commenting on this. More specifically people that have not even experienced so called "issues".

Its a single rider line, and when 30 of the 32 seats per train come from the regular boarding line, the line is going to move slow yes. Its only function is to fill those last 2 seats. Its not an express lane, its not a lane for people to get in for the front row, its not a lane to get in and ride with your friends, its a single rider line to fill in a empty seat or two.

Really all of you are doing it wrong anyways, you should convince all the groups of kids to go stand in the "short and fast" line so it clears up the regular line for you!

I was there Sunday and saw plenty of people there were going in that line that knew each other and were not actually single riders. So if people do that, then yes it should go slow.

Today the SRL was closed. I asked the young lady at the entrance why and she said its just as fast going in the regular line.

20 minutes later I was able to ride.

20 min is about the normal wait time for either line so, she was right in saying the regular line was moving as fast. Was it closed early in the morning? I havent ever seen it closed yet, at least not on saturdays or sundays. Maybe its something to do with being a friday. Oh well, 20 min isnt long, and it WELL worth the wait..

I've been to the park 4 times this year and never waited more than 10 minutes in the SRL. Ive also never seen the line closed. Today I was there around 11:30 and there was a metal gate in front of the SRL entrance and garbage cans placed at different points in the line. I never went back to see if the SRL was reopened.

^If the amount of people in line doesn't justify the single rider line being open, then it won't be open. Pretty much as simple as that. The purpose of the line is to fill trains when the line is long so that nobody has to wait any extra time while there are empty seats everywhere. If the line isn't very long, then it saves the grouper a lot of time and energy to just have everyone come through the normal line. It won't make the wait that much longer.

There was actually a day last week when I was in the park on my off time, got in line in the regular line, and boarded the train before someone else who had been in the single rider line before I got in the regular line. It's by no means an express line, can't say that enough.
