^I hate to butt in here, but that still doesn't answer the question of why? If I want to attend CoasterStock and CoasterStock only, as I am not a member of a club, why do I have to pay money to join a club in addition to paying for CoasterStock? Perhaps there should be an option for non-club members for a little more money?

Just wondering. :?

BTW I do remember last year when the tons of school children flooded our lunch as CoasterStock "participants." I'm betting this would have something to do with it not happening again this year.

Very true, i have no idea why its not for non-members, I joined ace just for the backstage tour before the park opened, so I guess I got lucky on this one. I was under the impression (I think everyone was) that it was for everyone. I agree that it should be for non members for a little more $$, but by the time you pay the additional price it would probaly be just as much to join the ace trial and pay for the event... I dont know. I was very shocked when I read that you had to be a member.

I could be wrong but do all the Cedar Fair Park events require you to be a member of a coaster club or something. I would think some of them allow members to bring guest and this would free people from paying to join a club for one event.

Jay, I think I remember dani saying those orange shirt kids actually had a meal plan too that included the larger refillable cups...

Im stoked why it changed to members only. I think a lot of the people who participated last year we're regular park guest who and not heavily into the coaster club thing. Wasn't there a bigger crowd for coaster stock vs c3?

Good point, but seeing as this isn't an ACE event I have no way of knowing what the thought process behind it was. Dave has a good point about being able to bring a guest, and maybe that little bit of info was overlooked in the original post and it should've been included. That would allow for coaster club members and people that they associate with to attend while excluding the masses that could make an otherwise great coaster event for enthusiasts, not so great.

So...what you're saying is you don't want to have to be a card carrying member of a coaster club to take part in Coaster Stock? :)

Well, since this is my event, I'm waiving that minor detail (it should be off of the website now) so any and all coaster enthusiasts are welcome to come!

I am truly excited about this year's event!

Thank you all so much for your feedback.

"Two issus"
"Dollydood"

Considering that it is all done by volunteers, I'm surprised there aren't more.

yeah, we're half way through the year now...

You seem to of left off the second sentence that explains the first.

"This page as well as ACE News will be updated with news about the discounts for 2010 as we receive updates from the parks. "

Some parks don't think to sent any discount information to us until we ask, hence the reason the first sentence is there. Hell, I just got all of the Southeast parks listed on there about a month ago, lol!

Thank YOU! Now I can get excited again. Being a recovering cancer patient with a 3-year-old doesn't let me enjoy all the things I used to, and this will be my only trip to the park this year. Gotta try for trivia title #2 :)

That is fantastic! I think this even should be for everyone, mainly coaster enthusiasts show up anyway, but its still nice for those who dont have memberships to a coaster club.

It was nice meeting you again this week. Now I know you're not the wrestler Don that I took you for earlier.
Do you know whether or not the coaster enthusiasts have requested my ride "Woodstock Gliders" to be a part of this season's Coaster Stock? Last year they requested it be open during their morning visit.

If not, I shall officially request it right now. Without the Gliders, it wouldn't be CoasterStock. Shoot, there were more people in line there than Nighthawk during that hour!
